|

|
예루살렘에서 온 바리사이들과 율법 학자 몇 사람이 예수님께 몰려왔다가,

▶ Now when the Pharisees with some scribes who had come from Jerusalem gathered around him,
|
|

|
그분의 제자 몇 사람이 더러운 손으로, 곧 씻지 않은 손으로 음식을 먹는 것을 보았다.

|
|
|
▶ they observed that some of his disciples ate their meals with unclean, that is, unwashed, hands.
|
|

|
본디 바리사이뿐만 아니라 모든 유다인은 조상들의 전통을 지켜, 한 움큼의 물로 손을 씻지 않고서는 음식을 먹지 않으며,

|
▶ For the Pharisees and, in fact, all Jews, do not eat without carefully washing their hands, keeping the tradition of the elders.
|

장터에서 돌아온 뒤에 몸을 씻지 않고서는 음식을 먹지 않는다. 이 밖에도 지켜야 할 관습이 많은데, 잔이나 단지나 놋그릇이나 침상을 씻는 일들이다.

|
▶ And on coming from the marketplace they do not eat without purifying themselves. And there are many other things that they have traditionally observed, the purification of cups and jugs and kettles.
|

그래서 바리사이들과 율법 학자들이 예수님께 물었다. “어째서 선생님의 제자들은 조상들의 전통을 따르지 않고, 더러운 손으로 음식을 먹습니까?”

▶ So the Pharisees and scribes questioned him, "Why do your disciples not follow the tradition of the elders but instead eat a meal with unclean hands?"

예수님께서 그들에게 이르셨다. “이사야가 너희 위선자들을 두고 옳게 예언하였다. 성경에 이렇게 기록되어 있다. ‘이 백성이 입술로는 나를 공경하지만 그 마음은 내게서 멀리 떠나 있다.

▶ He responded, "Well did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me;

그들은 사람의 규정을 교리로 가르치며 나를 헛되이 섬긴다.’

|
|
|
|
|
|
▶ In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines human precepts.'
|
|

|
너희는 하느님의 계명을 버리고 사람의 전통을 지키는 것이다.”

|
|
|
▶ You disregard God's commandment but cling to human tradition."
|

또 이어서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “너희는 너희의 전통을 고수하려고 하느님의 계명을 잘도 저버린다.

|
|
▶ He went on to say, "How well you have set aside the commandment of God in order to uphold your tradition!
|

|
모세는 ‘아버지와 어머니를 공경하여라.’ 그리고 ‘아버지나 어머니를 욕하는 자는 사형을 받아야 한다.’고 말하였다.

|
▶ For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and 'Whoever curses father or mother shall die.'
|

|
그런데 너희는 누가 아버지나 어머니에게 ‘제가 드릴 공양은 코르반, 곧 하느님께 바치는 예물입니다.’ 하고 말하면 된다고 한다.

|
▶ Yet you say, 'If a person says to father or mother, "Any support you might have had from me is qorban"',

그러면서 아버지나 어머니에게 더 이상 아무것도 해 드리지 못하게 한다.

|
|
▶ you allow him to do nothing more for his father or mother.
|
|

|
너희는 이렇게 너희가 전하는 전통으로 하느님의 말씀을 폐기하는 것이다. 너희는 이런 짓들을 많이 한다.”

|
|
|
|
|
|
▶ You nullify the word of God in favor of your tradition that you have handed on. And you do many such things."
|

그러고 나서 예수님께서는 다시 군중을 가까이 불러 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “너희는 모두 내 말을 듣고 깨달아라.

|
▶ He summoned the crowd again and said to them, "Hear me, all of you, and understand.
|
|

|
사람 밖에서 몸 안으로 들어가 그를 더럽힐 수 있는 것은 하나도 없다. 오히려 사람에게서 나오는 것이 그를 더럽힌다.”

|
|
|
|
▶ Nothing that enters one from outside can defile that person; but the things that come out from within are what defile."

|
누구든지 들을 귀가 있거든 들어라.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
예수님께서 군중을 떠나 집에 들어가시자, 제자들이 그 비유의 뜻을 물었다.

|
|
|
▶ When he got home away from the crowd his disciples questioned him about the parable.
|
|

|
예수님께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. “너희도 그토록 깨닫지 못하느냐? 밖에서 사람 안으로 들어가는 것은 무엇이든 그를 더럽힐 수 없다는 것을 알아듣지 못하느냐?

|
▶ He said to them, "Are even you likewise without understanding? Do you not realize that everything that goes into a person from outside cannot defile,
|

|
그것이 마음속으로 들어가지 않고 배 속으로 들어갔다가 뒷간으로 나가기 때문이다.” 예수님께서는 이렇게 모든 음식이 깨끗하다고 밝히신 것이다.

▶ since it enters not the heart but the stomach and passes out into the latrine?"

|
또 이어서 말씀하셨다. “사람에게서 나오는 것, 그것이 사람을 더럽힌다.

|
▶ "But what comes out of a person, that is what defiles.
|
|

|
안에서 곧 사람의 마음에서 나쁜 생각들, 불륜, 도둑질, 살인,

|
▶ From within people, from their hearts, come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder,
|
|
22
|
간음, 탐욕, 악의, 사기, 방탕, 시기, 중상, 교만, 어리석음이 나온다.

|
|
|
▶ adultery, greed, malice, deceit, licentiousness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly.
|
|
23
|
이런 악한 것들이 모두 안에서 나와 사람을 더럽힌다.”

▶ All these evils come from within and they defile."

예수님께서 그곳을 떠나 티로 지역으로 가셨다. 그리고 어떤 집으로 들어가셨는데, 아무에게도 알려지기를 원하지 않으셨으나 결국 숨어 계실 수가 없었다.

|
▶ From that place he went off to the district of Tyre. He entered a house and wanted no one to know about it, but he could not escape notice.

|
더러운 영이 들린 딸을 둔 어떤 부인이 곧바로 예수님의 소문을 듣고 와서, 그분 발 앞에 엎드렸다.

|
▶ Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him. She came and fell at his feet.
|

|
그 부인은 이교도로서 시리아 페니키아 출신이었는데, 자기 딸에게서 마귀를 쫓아내 주십사고 그분께 청하였다.

|
|
|
▶ The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth, and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter.
|

|
예수님께서는 그 여자에게, “먼저 자녀들을 배불리 먹여야 한다. 자녀들의 빵을 집어 강아지들에게 던져 주는 것은 옳지 않다.” 하고 말씀하셨다.

▶ He said to her, "Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs."

그러자 그 여자가, “주님, 그러나 상 아래에 있는 강아지들도 자식들이 떨어뜨린 부스러기는 먹습니다.” 하고 응답하였다.

▶ She replied and said to him, "Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children's scraps."

이에 예수님께서 그 여자에게 말씀하셨다. “네가 그렇게 말하니, 가 보아라. 마귀가 이미 네 딸에게서 나갔다.”

|
|
▶ Then he said to her, "For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter."

그 여자가 집에 가서 보니, 아이는 침상에 누워 있고 마귀는 나가고 없었다.

|
▶ When the woman went home, she found the child lying in bed and the demon gone.

▶ The Healing of a Deaf Man
|

예수님께서 다시 티로 지역을 떠나 시돈을 거쳐, 데카폴리스 지역 한가운데를 가로질러 갈릴래아 호수로 돌아오셨다.

|
|
▶ Again he left the district of Tyre and went by way of Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, into the district of the Decapolis.
|

그러자 사람들이 귀먹고 말 더듬는 이를 예수님께 데리고 와서, 그에게 손을 얹어 주십사고 청하였다.

|
▶ And people brought to him a deaf man who had a speech impediment and begged him to lay his hand on him.
|
|

|
예수님께서는 그를 군중에게서 따로 데리고 나가셔서, 당신 손가락을 그의 두 귀에 넣으셨다가 침을 발라 그의 혀에 손을 대셨다.

|
|
▶ He took him off by himself away from the crowd. He put his finger into the man's ears and, spitting, touched his tongue;
|

그러고 나서 하늘을 우러러 한숨을 내쉬신 다음, 그에게 “에파타!” 곧 “열려라!” 하고 말씀하셨다.

▶ then he looked up to heaven and groaned, and said to him, "Ephphatha!" that is, "Be opened!".

|
그러자 곧바로 그의 귀가 열리고 묶인 혀가 풀려서 말을 제대로 하게 되었다.

|
|
|
|
|
▶ And immediately the man's ears were opened, his speech impediment was removed, and he spoke plainly.
|
|

|
예수님께서는 이 일을 아무에게도 말하지 말라고 그들에게 분부하셨다. 그러나 그렇게 분부하실수록 그들은 더욱더 널리 알렸다.

|
▶ He ordered them not to tell anyone. But the more he ordered them not to, the more they proclaimed it.
|

|
사람들은 더할 나위 없이 놀라서 말하였다. “저분이 하신 일은 모두 훌륭하다. 귀먹은 이들은 듣게 하시고 말못하는 이들은 말하게 하시는구나.”

|
|
|
▶ They were exceedingly astonished and they said, "He has done all things well. He makes the deaf hear and the mute speak."
