주님께서 키루스를 세우시다

주님께서 당신의 기름부음받은이에게, 당신께서 오른손을 붙잡아 주신 키루스에게 말씀하시니 민족들을 그 앞에 굴복시키고 임금들의 허리띠를 풀어 버리며 문들을 열어젖히고 성문들이 닫히지 않게 하시려는 것이다.

▶ Thus says the LORD to his anointed, Cyrus, whose right hand I grasp, Subduing nations before him, and making kings run in his service, Opening doors before him and leaving the gates unbarred:

내가 네 앞을 걸어가면서 산들을 평지로 만들고 청동 문들을 부수며 쇠 빗장들을 부러뜨리리라.

내가 어둠 속에 있는 보화와 숨겨진 보물을 너에게 주리니 내가 바로 너를 지명하여 부르는 주님임을, 이스라엘의 하느님임을 네가 알게 하려는 것이다.

▶ I will give you treasures out of the darkness, and riches that have been hidden away, That you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.

나의 종 야곱 때문에 내가 선택한 이스라엘 때문에 내가 너를 지명하여 부르고 너는 나를 알지 못하지만 나 너에게 칭호를 내린다.

나는 빛을 만드는 이요 어둠을 창조하는 이다. 나는 행복을 주는 이요 불행을 일으키는 이다. 나 주님이 이 모든 것을 이룬다.

▶ I form the light, and create the darkness, I make well-being and create woe; I, the LORD, do all these things.

하늘아, 위에서 이슬을 내려라. 구름아, 의로움을 뿌려라. 땅은 열려 구원이 피어나게, 의로움도 함께 싹트게 하여라. 나 주님이 이것을 창조하였다.

비할 데 없는 주님의 권능

불행하여라, 자기를 빚어 만드신 분과 다투는 자! 오지그릇 한 조각에 지나지 않으면서 그렇게 하는 자. 진흙이 자기를 빚어 만드는 이에게 “당신은 무얼 만드는 거요?” “당신이 만든 것에는 손잡이가 없잖소.” 하고 말할 수 있느냐?

▶ Woe to him who contends with his Maker; a potsherd among potsherds of the earth! Dare the clay say to its modeler, "What are you doing?" or, "What you are making has no hands"?

불행하여라, 제 아버지에게 “무얼 낳고 계십니까?” 하고 여인에게 “무엇 때문에 산고를 겪고 계십니까?” 하고 말하는 자!

바로 내가 땅을 만들었고 그 위에 있는 인간을 창조하였다. 바로 이 내 손으로 하늘을 펼쳤고 그 모든 군대에게 명령을 내린다.

▶ It was I who made the earth and created mankind upon it; It was my hands that stretched out the heavens; I gave the order to all their host.

바로 내가 의로움으로써 그를 일으켰으니 그의 모든 길을 곧게 하리라. 그가 내 도성을 재건하고 유배 간 나의 백성을 대가도 선물도 아니 받고 풀어 주리라.” 만군의 주님께서 말씀하신다.

주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. “이집트의 재산과 에티오피아의 소득과 키 큰 족속 스바인들이 너에게 건너와서 너의 것이 되고 너의 뒤를 따르리라. 그들은 사슬에 묶여 건너와서 네 앞에 엎드려 빌며 말하리라. ‘과연 당신에게만 하느님이 계십니다. 다른 이가 없습니다. 다른 신이 없습니다.’”

▶ Thus says the LORD: The earnings of Egypt, the gain of Ethiopia, and the Sabeans, tall of stature, Shall come over to you and belong to you; they shall follow you, coming in chains. 그들은 모두 함께 부끄러워하며 수치를 당하리라. 우상을 만드는 자들은 치욕 속에 물러가리라.

▶ Those are put to shame and disgrace who vent their anger against him; Those go in disgrace who carve images.

이스라엘은 주님께 구원을 받았으니 이는 영원한 구원이어라. 영원무궁토록 너희는 부끄러움도 수치도 당하지 않으리라.

주님께서 말씀하신다. 하늘을 창조하신 분 그분께서 하느님이시다. 땅을 빚으시고 땅을 만드신 분 그분께서 그것을 굳게 세우셨다. 그분께서는 그것을 혼돈으로 창조하지 않으시고 살 수 있는 곳으로 빚어 만드셨다. 내가 주님이다. 다른 이가 없다.

▶ For thus says the LORD, The creator of the heavens, who is God, The designer and maker of the earth who established it, Not creating it to be a waste, but designing it to be lived in: I am the LORD, and there is no other.

나는 숨어서도 이야기하지 않았고 어두운 땅 어느 구석에서도 이야기하지 않았다. 나는 야곱의 후손들에게 “너희는 나를 혼돈 속에서 찾아라.” 하고 말하지 않았다. 나 주님은 의로운 것을 말하고 바른 것을 알린다.

▶ I have not spoken from hiding nor from some dark place of the earth, And I have not said to the descendants of Jacob, "Look for me in an empty waste." I, the LORD, promise justice, I foretell what is right.

주님은 만방의 하느님
|

|
민족들 가운데에서 살아남은 자들아 모여 오너라. 다 함께 가까이 오너라. 나무 우상을 떠받들고 다니는 자들과 구원을 베풀지 못하는 신에게 기도하는 자들은 지각없는 자들이다.

▶ Come and assemble, gather together, you fugitives from among the gentiles! They are without knowledge who bear wooden idols and pray to gods that cannot save.

말해 보아라. 설명해 보아라. 함께 의논도 해 보아라. 누가 이것을 옛날에 들려주었느냐? 누가 이것을 예전에 알려 주었느냐? 나 주님이 아니냐? 나밖에는 다른 신이 아무도 없다. 의롭고 구원을 베푸는 하느님 나 말고는 아무도 없다.

▶ Come here and declare in counsel together: Who announced this from the beginning and foretold it from of old? Was it not I, the LORD, besides whom there is no other God? There is no just and saving God but me.

땅 끝들아, 모두 나에게 돌아와 구원을 받아라. 나는 하느님, 다른 이가 없다.

내가 나 자신을 두고 맹세한다. 내 입에서 의로운 말이 나갔으니 그 말은 돌이킬 수 없는 것이다. 정녕 모두 나에게 무릎을 꿇고 입으로 맹세하며
