▶ While the crowd was pressing in on Jesus and listening to the word of God, he was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret.

그분께서는 호숫가에 대어 놓은 배 두 척을 보셨다. 어부들은 거기에서 내려 그물을 씻고 있었다.

▶ He saw two boats there alongside the lake; the fishermen had disembarked and were washing their nets.

예수님께서는 그 두 배 가운데 시몬의 배에 오르시어 그에게 뭍에서 조금 저어 나가 달라고 부탁하신 다음, 그 배에 앉으시어 군중을 가르치셨다.

▶ Getting into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, he asked him to put out a short distance from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.

예수님께서 말씀을 마치시고 나서 시몬에게 이르셨다. “깊은 데로 저어 나가서 그물을 내려 고기를 잡아라.”

▶ After he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch."

시몬이 “스승님, 저희가 밤새도록 애썼지만 한 마리도 잡지 못하였습니다. 그러나 스승님의 말씀대로 제가 그물을 내리겠습니다.” 하고 대답하였다.

▶ Simon said in reply, "Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets."

그렇게 하자 그들은 그물이 찢어질 만큼 매우 많은 물고기를 잡게 되었다.

▶ When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish and their nets were tearing.
|

|
그래서 다른 배에 있는 동료들에게 손짓하여 와서 도와 달라고 하였다. 동료들이 와서 고기를 두 배에 가득 채우니 배가 가라앉을 지경이 되었다.

▶ They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come to help them. They came and filled both boats so that they were in danger of sinking.

시몬 베드로가 그것을 보고 예수님의 무릎 앞에 엎드려 말하였다. “주님, 저에게서 떠나 주십시오. 저는 죄 많은 사람입니다.”

▶ When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at the knees of Jesus and said, "Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man."

▶ and likewise James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners of Simon. Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men."

예수님께서 어느 한 고을에 계실 때, 온몸에 나병이 걸린 사람이 다가왔다. 그는 예수님을 보자 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드려 이렇게 청하였다. “주님! 주님께서는 하고자 하시면 저를 깨끗하게 하실 수 있습니다.”

▶ Now there was a man full of leprosy in one of the towns where he was; and when he saw Jesus, he fell prostrate, pleaded with him, and said, "Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean."

예수님께서 손을 내밀어 그에게 대시며 말씀하셨다. “내가 하고자 하니 깨끗하게 되어라.” 그러자 곧 나병이 가셨다.

▶ Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, "I do will it. Be made clean." And the leprosy left him immediately.

예수님께서는 아무에게도 말하지 말라고 그에게 분부하시고, “다만 사제에게 가서 네 몸을 보이고, 모세가 명령한 대로 네가 깨끗해진 것에 대한 예물을 바쳐, 그들에게 증거가 되게 하여라.” 하셨다.

▶ Then he ordered him not to tell anyone, but "Go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them."

하루는 예수님께서 가르치고 계셨는데, 갈릴래아와 유다의 모든 마을과 예루살렘에서 온 바리사이들과 율법 교사들도 앉아 있었다. 예수님께서는 주님의 힘으로 병을 고쳐 주기도 하셨다.

▶ One day as Jesus was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem, and the power of the Lord was with him for healing.

▶ But not finding a way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on the stretcher through the tiles into the middle in front of Jesus.

▶ When he saw their faith, he said, "As for you, your sins are forgiven."

율법 학자들과 바리사이들은 의아하게 생각하기 시작하였다. ‘저 사람은 누구인데 하느님을 모독하는 말을 하는가? 하느님 한 분 외에 누가 죄를 용서할 수 있단 말인가?’

▶ Then the scribes and Pharisees began to ask themselves, "Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who but God alone can forgive sins?"

예수님께서는 그들의 생각을 아시고 대답하셨다. “너희는 어찌하여 마음속으로 의아하게 생각하느냐?

▶ Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them in reply, "What are you thinking in your hearts?

▶ Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise and walk'?

|
이제 사람의 아들이 땅에서 죄를 용서하는 권한을 가지고 있음을 너희가 알게 해 주겠다.” 그러고 나서 중풍에 걸린 이에게 말씀하셨다. “내가 너에게 말한다. 일어나 네 평상을 가지고 집으로 가거라.”

▶ But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins'' - he said to the man who was paralyzed, "I say to you, rise, pick up your stretcher, and go home."

그러자 그는 그들 앞에서 즉시 일어나 자기가 누워 있던 것을 들고, 하느님을 찬양하며 집으로 돌아갔다.

▶ He stood up immediately before them, picked up what he had been lying on, and went home, glorifying God.

이에 모든 사람이 크게 놀라 하느님을 찬양하였다. 그리고 두려움에 차서 “우리가 오늘 신기한 일을 보았다.” 하고 말하였다.

▶ After this he went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the customs post. He said to him, "Follow me."

▶ And leaving everything behind, he got up and followed him.

레위가 자기 집에서 예수님께 큰 잔치를 베풀었는데, 세리들과 다른 사람들이 큰 무리를 지어 함께 식탁에 앉았다.

|
▶ Then Levi gave a great banquet for him in his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were at table with them.

그래서 바리사이들과 그들의 율법 학자들이 그분의 제자들에게 투덜거렸다. “당신들은 어째서 세리와 죄인들과 함께 먹고 마시는 것이오?”

▶ The Pharisees and their scribes complained to his disciples, saying, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?"

예수님께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. “건강한 이들에게는 의사가 필요하지 않으나 병든 이들에게는 필요하다.

▶ Jesus said to them in reply, "Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do.

▶ And they said to him, "The disciples of John fast often and offer prayers, and the disciples of the Pharisees do the same; but yours eat and drink."

예수님께서 그들에게 이르셨다. “혼인 잔치 손님들이 신랑과 함께 있는 동안에 단식을 할 수야 없지 않으냐?

▶ Jesus answered them, "Can you make the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them?

그러나 그들이 신랑을 빼앗길 날이 올 것이다. 그때에는 그들도 단식할 것이다.”

|
|
▶ But the days will come, and when the bridegroom is taken away from them, then they will fast in those days."

예수님께서는 그들에게 또 비유를 말씀하셨다. “아무도 새 옷에서 조각을 찢어 내어 헌 옷에 대고 꿰매지 않는다. 그렇게 하면 새 옷을 찢을 뿐만 아니라, 새 옷에서 찢어 낸 조각이 헌 옷에 어울리지도 않을 것이다.

▶ And he also told them a parable. "No one tears a piece from a new cloak to patch an old one. Otherwise, he will tear the new and the piece from it will not match the old cloak.

또한 아무도 새 포도주를 헌 가죽 부대에 담지 않는다. 그렇게 하면 새 포도주가 부대를 터뜨려, 포도주는 쏟아지고 부대도 버리게 된다.

▶ Likewise, no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be ruined.

▶ Rather, new wine must be poured into fresh wineskins.
|
|

|

|
|
▶ And no one who has been drinking old wine desires new, for he says, 'The old is good.'"
