시서와지혜서 시편 제 106장

1 할렐루야! 주님을 찬송하여라, 선하신 분이시다. 주님의 자애는 영원하시다. 1 Hallelujah! Give thanks to the LORD, who is good, whose love endures forever.
2 누가 주님의 위업을 말할 수 있으며 그 모든 찬양을 전할 수 있으리오? 2 Who can tell the mighty deeds of the LORD, proclaim in full God's praise?
3 행복하여라, 공정을 지키는 이들 언제나 정의를 실천하는 이들! 3 Happy those who do what is right, whose deeds are always just.
4 주님, 당신 백성에 대한 호의로 저를 기억하소서. 당신의 구원과 함께 저를 찾아오시어 4 Remember me, LORD, as you favor your people; come to me with your saving help,
5 제가 당신께 뽑힌 이들의 행복을 보고 당신 민족의 즐거움으로 기뻐하며 당신 소유와 함께 자랑으로 여기게 하소서. 5 That I may see the prosperity of your chosen, rejoice in the joy of your people, and glory with your heritage.
6 저희 조상들처럼 저희도 죄를 지었습니다. 불의를 저지르고 악을 행하였습니다. 6 We have sinned like our ancestors; we have done wrong and are guilty.
7 저희 조상들은 이집트에서 당신의 기적들을 깨닫지 못하고 당신의 크신 자애를 기억하지 않았으며 바닷가에서, 갈대 바다에서 당신을 거역하였습니다. 7 Our ancestors in Egypt did not attend to your wonders. They did not remember your great love; they defied the Most High at the Red Sea.
8 그러나 그분께서는 당신 이름 때문에 그들을 구하셨으니 당신 위업을 알리시려는 것이었다. 8 Yet he saved them for his name's sake to make his power known.
9 갈대 바다를 꾸짖으시어 물이 마르자 그들이 깊은 바다를 사막인 양 걸어가게 하셨다. 9 He roared at the Red Sea and it dried up. He led them through the deep as through a desert.
10 미워하는 자의 손에서 그들을 구하시고 원수의 손에서 그들을 구해 내셨다. 10 He rescued them from hostile hands, freed them from the power of the enemy.
11 물이 그들의 적들을 덮쳐 하나도 살아남지 못하였다. 11 The waters covered their oppressors; not one of them survived.
12 이에 그들이 그분의 말씀을 믿어 그분께 찬양 노래를 불렀다. 12 Then they believed his words and sang songs of praise.
13 그들은 그분의 업적을 빨리도 잊어 그분의 지시를 기다리지 않았으며 13 But they soon forgot all he had done; they had no patience for his plan.
14 사막에서 탐욕을 부리고 광야에서 하느님을 시험하였다. 14 In the desert they gave way to their cravings, tempted God in the wasteland.
15 하느님께서는 그들이 원하는 대로 주셨으나 질병도 그들에게 보내셨다. 15 So he gave them what they asked and sent among them a wasting disease.
16 그들은 진영에서 모세를, 주님의 거룩한 사람 아론을 시기하였다. 16 In the camp they challenged Moses and Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.
17 이에 땅이 갈라져 다탄을 삼키고 아비람의 무리를 덮쳤으며 17 The earth opened and swallowed Dathan, it closed on the followers of Abiram.
18 불이 그 무리 가운데에서 일어나 불꽃이 악인들을 살라 버렸다. 18 Against that company the fire blazed; flames consumed the wicked.
19 그들은 호렙에서 송아지를 만들고 쇠를 부어 만든 상에 경배하였다. 19 At Horeb they fashioned a calf, worshiped a metal statue.
20 그들의 영광을 풀 먹는 소의 형상과 바꾸었다. 20 They exchanged their glorious God for the image of a grass-eating bull.
21 그들은 하느님을 잊었다, 자기들을 구하신 분을 이집트에서 위대한 일들을 하신 분을 21 They forgot the God who saved them, who did great deeds in Egypt,
22 함족 땅에서 이루신 기적들을 갈대 바다에서 이루신 두려운 일들을. 22 Amazing deeds in the land of Ham, fearsome deeds at the Red Sea.
23 당신께서 뽑으신 모세가 아니라면 그들을 없애 버리겠다고 생각하셨다. 그가 분노를 터뜨리시는 그분 앞을 막아섰으니 그분의 진노를 파멸에서 돌리기 위함이었다. 23 He would have decreed their destruction, had not Moses, the chosen leader, Withstood him in the breach to turn back his destroying anger.
24 그러나 그들은 탐스러운 땅을 업신여기며 그분의 말씀을 믿지 않았고 24 Next they despised the beautiful land; they did not believe the promise.
25 자기네 천막 안에서 투덜대며 주님의 소리를 듣지 않았다. 25 In their tents they complained; they did not obey the LORD.
26 이에 그분께서 손을 드시어 그들을 사막에서 쓰러뜨리려 하셨다. 26 So with raised hand he swore to destroy them in the desert,
27 그들의 후손을 민족들 사이에 쓰러뜨리려, 그들을 여러 나라로 흩어 버리려 하셨다. 27 To scatter their descendants among the nations, disperse them in foreign lands.
28 그들은 프오르의 바알에게 굴종하여 죽은 것에게 바친 제물을 먹었다. 28 They joined in the rites of Baal of Peor, ate food sacrificed to dead gods.
29 그들의 행위로 그분을 언짢으시게 하여 그들에게 재앙이 들이닥쳤다. 29 They provoked him by their actions, and a plague broke out among them.
30 피느하스가 일어서서 법대로 다스리자 재앙이 멈추었으니 30 Then Phinehas rose to intervene, and the plague was brought to a halt.
31 이것이 그에게 세세에 영원히 의로움으로 셈해졌다. 31 This was counted for him as a righteous deed for all generations to come.
32 그들이 므리바 샘에서 그분을 노엽게 하여 그들 때문에 모세가 화를 입게 되었으니 32 At the waters of Meribah they angered God, and Moses suffered because of them.
33 그들이 그의 감정을 상하게 하자 그가 제 입술을 함부로 놀렸기 때문이다. 33 They so embittered his spirit that rash words crossed his lips.
34 그들이 주님께서 없애라 하신 백성들을 없애지 않고 34 They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,
35 그 민족들과 어울리면서 저들의 행실을 배우고 35 But mingled with the nations and imitated their ways.
36 저들의 우상들을 섬기니 저들이 그들에게 덫이 되었다. 36 They worshiped their idols and were ensnared by them.
37 자기네 아들과 딸들을 마귀들에게 바치며 37 They sacrificed to the gods their own sons and daughters,
38 무죄한 피를 흘려 그 땅을 더럽혔다. 가나안의 우상들에게 바친 자기네 아들과 딸들의 피로 더럽혔다. 38 Shedding innocent blood, the blood of their own sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, desecrating the land with bloodshed.
39 그들은 자기네 행실로 더러워지고 자기네 행위로 불륜을 저질렀다. 39 They defiled themselves by their actions, became adulterers by their conduct.
40 주님의 분노가 당신 백성을 거슬러 타오르고 당신의 소유를 혐오하게 되셨다. 40 So the LORD grew angry with his people, abhorred his own heritage.
41 그들을 민족들의 손에 넘기시니 그들을 미워하는 자들이 그들을 다스리고 41 He handed them over to the nations, and their adversaries ruled them.
42 원수들이 그들을 억눌러 그 손 아래 그들이 꺾였다. 42 Their enemies oppressed them, kept them under subjection.
43 몇 번이나 그들을 구출해 주셨건만 그들은 저희 뜻만을 좇아 거역하여 자기들의 죄악 탓으로 허물어졌다. 43 Many times did he rescue them, but they kept rebelling and scheming and were brought low by their own guilt.
44 그러나 그분께서는 그들의 외침을 들으실 때 그들의 곤경을 보셨다. 44 Still God had regard for their affliction when he heard their wailing.
45 그들을 위하여 당신 계약을 기억하시고 크신 자애로 후회하시어 45 For their sake he remembered his covenant and relented in his abundant love,
46 그들을 사로잡아 간 모든 이들에게서 그들이 동정을 얻게 하셨다. 46 Winning for them compassion from all who held them captive.
47 주 저희 하느님, 저희를 구하소서. 민족들에게서 저희를 모아들이소서. 저희가 당신의 거룩하신 이름을 찬송하고 당신을 찬양하여 영광으로 삼으오리다. 47 Save us, LORD, our God; gather us from among the nations That we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in praising you.
48 주 이스라엘의 하느님께서는 찬미받으소서, 영원에서 영원까지. 온 백성은 말하리라, “아멘!” 할렐루야! 48 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! Let all the people say, Amen! Hallelujah!
