내 말을 들어라, 의로움을 추구하는 이들아 주님을 찾는 이들아. 너희가 떨어져 나온 반석을 우러러보고 너희가 퍼내 올려진 저수 동굴을 쳐다보아라.

▶ Listen to me, you who pursue justice, who seek the LORD; Look to the rock from which you were hewn, to the pit from which you were quarried;

너희 조상 아브라함과 너희를 낳은 사라를 우러러보아라. 내가 그를 부를 때 그는 혼자였으나 나는 그에게 복을 내려 그의 자손을 번성하게 하였다.

▶ Look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth; When he was but one I called him, I blessed him and made him many.

주님께서는 정녕 시온을 위로하시고 그 모든 폐허를 위로하신다. 그 광야를 에덴처럼, 그 황무지를 주님의 동산처럼 만드시니 그 안에는 기쁨과 즐거움이, 감사와 찬미 노랫소리가 깃들리라.

▶ Yes, the LORD shall comfort Zion and have pity on all her ruins; Her deserts he shall make like Eden, her wasteland like the garden of the LORD; Joy and gladness shall be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of song.

내 백성아, 내 말을 들어라. 내 겨레야, 내게 귀를 기울여라. 나에게서 가르침이 나가리라. 나의 공정을 내가 민족의 빛으로 만들리라.

▶ Be attentive to me, my people; my folk, give ear to me. For law shall go forth from my presence, and my judgment, as the light of the peoples.

내가 재빠르게 나의 정의를 가까이 가져오리니 나의 구원이 나아가고 나의 팔이 민족들을 심판하리라. 섬들이 나를 고대하며 나의 팔에 희망을 걸리라.

▶ I will make my justice come speedily; my salvation shall go forth (and my arm shall judge the nations); In me shall the coastlands hope, and my arm they shall await.

너희는 하늘로 눈을 들어라. 아래로 땅을 바라보아라. 하늘은 연기처럼 스러지고 땅은 옷처럼 해지며 그 주민들은 모기 떼처럼 죽어 가리라. 그러나 나의 구원은 영원하고 나의 의로움은 꺾이지 않으리라.

▶ Raise your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth below; Though the heavens grow thin like smoke, the earth wears out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies, My salvation shall remain forever and my justice shall never be dismayed.

내 말을 들어라, 의로움을 아는 이들아 내 가르침을 마음속에 간직한 백성아. 사람들의 모욕을 두려워하지 말고 그들의 악담에 낙심하지 마라.

▶ Hear me, you who know justice, you people who have my teaching at heart: Fear not the reproach of men, be not dismayed at their revilings.

그들을 옷인 양 좀이 먹어 버리고 그들을 양털인 양 벌레가 먹어 버릴 것이다. 그러나 나의 의로움은 영원하고 나의 구원은 대대에 미치리라.

▶ They shall be like a garment eaten by moths, like wool consumed by grubs; But my justice shall remain forever and my salvation, for all generations.

주님의 깨어나심
|

|
|
|
|
|

|
깨어나소서, 깨어나소서, 힘을 입으소서, 주님의 팔이시여. 옛날처럼, 오래전 그 시절처럼 깨어나소서. 라합을 베어 쓰러뜨리시고 용을 꿰찌르신 이가 당신이 아니십니까?

▶ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD! Awake as in the days of old, in ages long ago! Was it not you who crushed Rahab, you who pierced the dragon?

|
바다를, 그 큰 심연의 물을 말리신 이가 당신이 아니십니까? 구원받은 이들이 건너가도록 당신께서 깊은 바다를 길로 만드셨습니다.

|
▶ Was it not you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, Who made the depths of the sea into a way for the redeemed to pass over?

|
주님께서 구해 내신 이들이 돌아오리이다. 환호 소리와 함께 시온으로 들어서리이다. 끝없는 즐거움이 그들의 머리 위에 넘치고 기쁨과 즐거움이 그들과 함께하여 슬픔과 탄식이 사라지리이다.

▶ Those whom the LORD has ransomed will return and enter Zion singing, crowned with everlasting joy; They will meet with joy and gladness, sorrow and mourning will flee.

|
전능한 위로자이신 주님
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

내가, 바로 내가 너희의 위로자이다. 그런데 죽을 인생을 두려워하고 풀 같은 운명을 타고난 인간의 아들을 두려워하는 너는 누구냐?

▶ I, it is I who comfort you. Can you then fear mortal man, who is human only, to be looked upon as grass,

너는 잊었다, 너를 만드신 주님을 하늘을 펼치시고 땅의 기초를 놓으신 분을. 압제자가 너를 멸망시키기로 작정하였다고 너는 날마다 그의 노여움 앞에서 줄곧 겁을 내고 있다. 그러나 압제자의 노여움이 어디 있느냐?

▶ And forget the LORD, your maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth? All the day you are in constant dread of the fury of the oppressor; But when he sets himself to destroy, what is there of the oppressor's fury?

사슬에 묶인 이들이 곧 풀려나리니 그들은 죽지도, 구렁으로 내려가지도 않고 그들에게는 양식이 모자라지도 않으리라.

나는 주 너의 하느님 바다를 뒤흔들어 파도를 울부짖게 하는 이 그 이름 만군의 주님이다.

▶ For I am the LORD, your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; the LORD of hosts by name.

나는 네 입에 내 말을 담아 주고 내 손 그늘에 너를 숨겨 준다. 나는 하늘을 심고 땅의 기초를 놓으며 시온에게 말한다. “너는 나의 백성이다.”

깨어라, 깨어라 일어나라, 예루살렘아. 주님의 손에서 진노의 잔을 받아 마신 너, 비틀거리게 하는 술잔을 바닥까지 마신 너.

▶ Awake, awake! Arise, O Jerusalem, You who drank at the LORD'S hand the cup of his wrath; Who drained to the dregs the bowl of staggering!

제가 낳은 모든 자식들 가운데 저를 인도해 줄 자 하나도 없고 제가 키운 모든 자식들 가운데 손을 붙잡아 주는 자 하나도 없는 신세.

▶ She has no one to guide her of all the sons she bore; She has no one to grasp her by the hand, of all the sons she reared! -

이 두 가지가 너에게 닥쳐왔건만 누가 너를 동정하리오? 파멸과 파괴, 굶주림과 칼이 닥쳐왔건만 누가 너를 위로하리오?

▶ Your misfortunes are double; who is there to condole with you? Desolation and destruction, famine and sword! Who is there to comfort you?

|
네 아들들은 주님의 노여움을, 네 하느님의 질책을 가득 입어 그물에 걸린 영양처럼 실신하여 길모퉁이마다 쓰러져 있구나.

▶ Your sons lie helpless at every street corner like antelopes in a net. They are filled with the wrath of the LORD, the rebuke of your God.

그러니 이 말을 들어라, 너 가련한 여인아 술을 마시지도 않았는데 취한 여인아.

▶ But now, hear this, O afflicted one, drunk, but not with wine,
|

너의 주인이신 주님이시며 당신 백성을 변호해 주시는 너의 하느님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. “보라, 내가 네 손에서 비틀거리게 하는 그 술잔을 거두리니 너는 내 진노의 술잔을 다시는 마시지 않으리라.

▶ Thus says the LORD, your Master, your God, who defends his people: See, I am taking from your hand the cup of staggering; The bowl of my wrath you shall no longer drink.

내가 너를 괴롭히는 자들의 손에 그 술잔을 놓으리라. 그들은 너에게 ‘엎드려라. 우리가 딛고 지나가겠다.’ 하였고 너는 네 등을 땅바닥처럼 만들어 그들이 바닥을 밟듯 그 위를 지나가게 하였다.”
