헨리 나웬  신부님(1932.1.24-1996.9.21)의 오! 그리고 늘! 8월 2일 <죽을 운명을 없애주시는 예수님> Jesus Takes Away Fatality 육화의 위대한 신비는 하느님께서 예수님 안에서 사람이 되심으로써 모든 이의 몸도 하느님 생명의 옷을 입을 수 있게 된 겁니다. 우리의 생명은 연약하고 언젠가는 이승을 떠나야 할 운명입니다.  하지만 하느님께서는 예수님을 통해 우리의 연약하고 죽을 운명의 삶을 나누셨기에 더 이상 죽음으로 모든 게 끝나지 않는 겁니다. 사는 게 바로 승리하는 겁니다.  바오로 사도께서 하신 말씀대로 입니다. “이 썩는 몸이 썩지 않는 것을 입고 이 죽는 몸이 죽지 않는 것을 입으면, 그때에 성경에 기록된 말씀이 이루어질 것입니다. “승리가 죽음을 삼켜 버렸다. 죽음아, 너의 승리가 어디 있느냐? 죽음아, 너의 독침이 어디 있느냐?”(1코린15,54-55).  예수님께서는 우리 실존의 죽을 운명을 없애주시고 우리 삶에 영원한 가치를 넣어 주신 겁니다. Jesus Takes Away Fatality AUGUST 2 The great mystery of the incarnation is that God became human in Jesus so that all human flesh could be clothed with divine life. Our lives are fragile and destined to death. But since God, through Jesus, shared in our fragile and mortal lives, death no longer has the final word. Life has become victorious. Paul writes: “And after this perishable nature has put on imperishability and this mortal nature has put on immortality, then will the words of scripture come true: “Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:54). Jesus has taken away the fatality of our existence and given our lives eternal value.   † 성부와 성자와 성령의 이름으로 아멘.
