헨리 나웬  신부님(1932.1.24-1996.9.21)의 오! 그리고 늘! 10월 6일 <우리 안에 살아계시는 예수님> Jesus Living Within Us 성찬 전례를 거행하는 밥상(제대)에 모여 “이는 그리스도의 몸과 피입니다”라고 말하며 같은 빵을 먹고 같은 잔으로 마시면 지금 여기서 우리는 살아 있는 그리스도가 되는 겁니다. 우리가 예수님을 믿는다는 건 하느님의 아드님이신 예수님께서 옛날 옛적에 사셨고, 엄청난 기적을 행하셨으며, 지혜로운 가르침을 주셨고, 우리를 위해 십자가에서 죽으시고 무덤에서 부활하셨다는 걸 믿는 게 아닙니다. 무엇보다도 우리가 믿는 건 예수님께서 우리들 가운데 살아계시며 우리 안에서 우리를 통해 당신의 신적 사명을 이루신다는 진리를 온전히 받아들인다는 걸 뜻하는 겁니다. 이렇게 우리 안에 살아계시는 그리스도를 영성으로 알아보기 때문에 우리가 육화(肉化사람이 되심)와 죽으심, 그리고 부활의 신비를 역사의 사건으로 온전히 굳게 믿을 수 있는 겁니다. 역사 속에 계신 그리스도를 우리에게 드러내시는 분은 바로 우리 안에 계신 그리스도이신 겁니다. Jesus Living Within Us OCTOBER 6 When we gather around the Eucharistic table and eat from the same bread and drink from the same cup, saying, “This is the Body and Blood of Christ,” we become the living Christ, here and now. Our faith in Jesus is not our belief that Jesus, the Son of God, lived long ago, performed great miracles, presented wise teachings, died for us on the cross, and rose from the grave. It first of all means that we fully accept the truth that Jesus lives within us and fulfills his divine ministry in and through us. This spiritual knowledge of the Christ living in us is what allows us to affirm fully the mystery of the incarnation, death, and resurrection as historic events.
