헨리 나웬  신부님(1932.1.24-1996.9.21)의 오! 그리고 늘 ! 12월 21일 <모든 이에게 주어지는 체험> An Experience Offered to All 어떤 사람들은 이렇게 말합니다.“저는 때가 찬 걸 체험한 적이 없습니다.  … 저는 신비가가 아니라 그냥 보통 사람입니다.” 어떤 사람들에겐 하느님께서 지금 여기 계신다는 남다른 체험을 하였기에 그 체험을 이 세상에게 알린다는 남다른 사명이 있지만, 우리 모두는 -배운 이든 배우지 못한 이든, 부유한 이든 가난한 이든, 보이는 것이든 감춰진 것이든 때가 차서 하느님을 뵙는 은총을 받을 수 있습니다.  이런 신비로운 체험은 몇몇 남다른 이들만 할 수 있는 게 아닙니다.  하느님께서는 그 선물을 모든 자녀들에게 이런 저런 방법으로 주고싶어 하십니다. 다만 그 선물은 우리가 바라야 합니다.  주의를 기울이고 내적으로 깨어 있어야 하는 겁니다. 어떤 이들에겐 사도 성 바오로께서 다마스쿠스로 길을 가다 땅에 엎어졌을 때 체험한 것처럼 (사도9, 3-4) 굉장한 방식으로 때가 찬 체험이 다가옵니다.  하지만 우리 가운데 어떤 이들에겐 속삭이는 소리나 등에 닿는 부드러운 산들바람처럼 (1열왕19,13)  다가옵니다.  하느님께서는 우리 모두를 사랑하시므로 이 체험을 우리 모두가 가장 개인적인 방식으로 알게 되길 바라시는 겁니다. An Experience Offered to All DECEMBER 21 Some people say: “I never had an experience of the fullness of time. … I am just an ordinary person, not a mystic.” Although some people have unique experiences of God’s presence and, therefore have unique missions to announce God’s presence to the world, all of us – whether learned or uneducated, rich or poor, visible or hidden – can receive the grace of seeing God in the fullness of time. This mystical experience, is not reserved for a few exceptional people. God wants to offer that gift in one way or another to all God’s children. But we must desire it. We must be attentive and interiorly alert. For some people the experience of the fullness of time comes in a spectacular way, as it did to St. Paul when he fell to the ground on his way to Damascus (Acts 9:3-4). But for some of us it comes like a murmuring sound or a gentle breeze touching our backs (1 Kings 19:13). God loves us all and wants us all to know this in a most personal way.   † 성부와 성자와 성령의 이름으로 아멘.
