헨리 나웬  신부님(1932.1.24-1996.9.21)의 오! 그리고 늘! 5월 20일 <예수님의 자유라는 것> Jesus' Freedom 예수님께서는 자유 그 자체이셨습니다.  그 자유의 뿌리는 당신이 하느님께서 사랑하시는 자녀라는 영성의 깨달음에서 오는 자유였습니다. 예수님께서는 당신의 존재 깊숙한 데서 알고 계셨습니다. 태어나기 전부터 하느님 편에 계셨고, 하느님의 사랑을 널리 알리려고 이 세상에 오셨으며, 사명을 이루시고나면 하느님께로 돌아갈 것임을 알고 계신 겁니다. 예수님께서는 존재 이유를 아셨기 때문에 세상의 비위를 맞추지 않고 아무 거리낌 없이 말씀과 행동을 하시며 또한 사람들의 온갖 고통들에 하느님의 치유하시는 사랑으로 일일이 보살피실 수 있었던 겁니다. 그 때문에 복음 성경에 이런 말씀이 있는 겁니다. “군중은 모두 예수님께 손을 대려고 애를 썼다. 그분에게서 힘이 나와 모든 사람을 고쳐 주었기 때문이다.” (루카 6,19) 주님께서 나에게 기름을 부어 주시니 주 하느님의 영이 내 위에 내리셨다. 주님께서 나를 보내시어 가난한 이들에게 기쁜 소식을 전하고 마음이 부서진 이들을 싸매어 주며 잡혀간 이들에게 해방을, 갇힌 이들에게 석방을 선포하게 하셨다. 주님의 은혜의 해, 우리 하느님의 응보의 날을 선포하고 슬퍼하는 이들을 모두 위로하게 하셨다. 시온에서 슬퍼하는 이들에게 재 대신 화관을 슬픔 대신 기쁨의 기름을 맥 풀린 넋 대신 축제의 옷을 주게 하셨다. 그래서 사람들이 그들을 ‘정의의 참나무’ ‘당신 영광을 위하여 주님께서 심으신 나무’라 부르도록 하셨다.(이사61,1-3) Jesus' Freedom May20 Jesus was truly free. His freedom was rooted in his spiritual awareness that he was the Beloved Child of God. He knew in the depth of his being that he belonged to God before he was born, that he was sent into the world to proclaim God’s love, and that he would return to God after his mission was fulfilled. This knowledge gave him the freedom to speak and act without having to please the world and the power to respond to people’s pains with the healing love of God. That’s why the Gospels say: “Everyone in the crowd was trying to touch him because power came out of him that cured them all” (Luke 6:19). The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness from the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of justice of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion... to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." - Isaiah 61: 1-3 (NIV)   † 성부와 성자와 성령의 이름으로 아멘.
