헨리 나웬  신부님(1932.1.24-1996.9.21)의 오! 그리고 늘! 7월 19일 <고통을 겪고있는 공동체에서 그리스도님을 알아뵙는다는 것> Recognizing Christ in Suffering Communities 낱낱의 사람이나 공동체 모두가 고통을 겪고있읍니다. 온 세상에는 박해나 부당한 대우를 받고 학대받으며  끔찍한 범죄에 희생된 이들이 아주 많이 있습니다.  하나같이 고통을 겪는 가족과 친구들이 있으며 종교 공동체나 민족 그리고 나라들이 있습니다. 우리는 이 고통받는 이들의 몸 가운데 계시는 고통받는 그리스도를 알아뵐 수 있어야 합니다.  그이들도 우리처럼 선택과 축복을 받고 쪼개져 세상에 주어진 겁니다. 이이들이 부르짖는 소리에 응답하라고 서로 서로 촉구하며 정의와 평화를 위해 함께 일한다면 바로 우리는 이 세상을 구원하시려고 고통을 겪고 이승을 떠나신 그리스도님를 보살피는 겁니다. "그 율법 교사는 자기가 정당함을 드러내고 싶어서 예수님께, “그러면 누가 저의 이웃입니까?” 하고 물었다." (루카10,29) Recognizing Christ in Suffering Communities JULY 19 Communities as well as individuals suffer. All over the world there are large groups of people who are persecuted, mistreated, abused, and made victims of horrendous crimes. There are suffering families, suffering circles of friends, suffering religious communities, suffering ethnic groups, and suffering nations. In these suffering bodies of people we must be able to recognise the suffering Christ. They too are chosen, blessed, broken and given to the world. As we call one another to respond to the cries of these people and work together for justice and peace, we are caring for Christ, who suffered and died for the salvation of our world.
