헨리 나웬  신부님(1932.1.24-1996.9.21)의 오! 그리고 늘! 11월 28일 <이승을 떠날 우리 몸체는 부활의 씨앗> Our Mortal Bodies: Seeds for the Resurrection 이승을 떠날 우리 몸체, 그 살과 뼈는 흙으로 되돌아갈 겁니다. 구약성경 코헬렛의 기자가 말합니다· "모두 한 곳으로 가는 것. 모두 흙으로 이루어졌고 모두 흙으로 되돌아 간다."(코헬렛 3,20) 하지만 몸체으로 살아온 우리의 모든 건 부활하면 영광을 입어 하느님께로부터 새 몸체을 받게 될 겁니다. 우리가 부활하면 어떤 몸체가 될까요? 바오로 사도는 이승을 떠날 우리 몸체가 부활한 몸체의 씨앗이라고 말씀합니다. "그대가 뿌리는 씨는 죽지않고서는 살아나지 못합니다. 그리고 그대가 뿌리는 것은 장차 생겨날 몸체가 아니라 밀이든 다른 종류든 씨앗일 따름입니다. 그러나 하느님께서는 당신이 원하시는 대로 그 씨앗에 몸체를 주십니다. 씨앗 하나하나에 고유한 몸체를 주시는 것입니다."(1코린15,36-38) 부활한 몸체도 죽을 몸체처럼 고유한 존재가 될 겁니다. 저마다 고유한 개성으로 한사람 한사람을 사랑하시는 하느님께서 몸체를 주시고 그 안에서 하느님과의 둘도 없는 고유한 관계가 영광스럽게 빛나기 때문입니다. "형제 여러분, 내가 말하려는 것은 이렇습니다. 살과 피는 하느님의 나라를 물려받지 못하고, 썩는 것은 썩지 않는 것을 물려받지 못합니다. 자, 내가 여러분에게 신비 하나를 말해 주겠습니다. 우리 모두 죽지 않고 다 변화할 것입니다." (1코린15,50-51) Our Mortal Bodies: Seeds for the Resurrection NOVEMBER 28 Our mortal bodies, flesh and bones, will return to the earth. As the writer of Ecclesiastes says: “Everything goes to the same place, everything comes from the dust, everything returns to the dust” (Ecclesiastes 3:20). Still, all that we have lived in our bodies will be honored in the resurrection, when we receive new bodies from God. What sorts of bodies will we have in the resurrection? Paul sees our mortal bodies as the seeds for our resurrected bodies: “What you sow must die before it is given new life; and what you sow is not the body that is to be, but only a bare grain, of wheat I dare say, or some other kind; it is God who gives it the sort of body that he has chosen for it, and for each kind of seed its own kind of body” (1 Corinthians 15:36-38). We will be as unique in the resurrection as we are in our mortal bodies, because God, who loves each of us in our individuality, will give us bodies in which our most unique relationship with God will gloriously shine. "I declare to you that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed..." - I Corinthians 15: 50-51 (NIV)   † 성부와 성자와 성령의 이름으로 아멘.
