|
페르시아 임금 키루스 제일년이었다. 주님께서는 예레미야의 입을 통하여 하신 말씀을 이루시려고, 페르시아 임금 키루스의 마음을 움직이셨다. 그리하여 키루스는 온 나라에 어명을 내리고 칙서도 반포하였다.

▶ In the first year of Cyrus, king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah, the LORD inspired King Cyrus of Persia to issue this proclamation throughout his kingdom, both by word of mouth and in writing:

“페르시아 임금 키루스는 이렇게 선포한다. 주 하늘의 하느님께서 세상의 모든 나라를 나에게 주셨다. 그리고 유다의 예루살렘에 당신을 위한 집을 지을 임무를 나에게 맡기셨다.

▶ "Thus says Cyrus, king of Persia: 'All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD, the God of heaven, has given to me, and he has also charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

나는 너희 가운데 그분 백성에 속한 이들에게는 누구나 그들의 하느님께서 함께 계시기를 빈다. 이제 그들이 유다의 예루살렘으로 올라가서, 주 이스라엘의 하느님 집을 짓게 하여라. 그분은 예루살렘에 계시는 하느님이시다.

▶ Whoever, therefore, among you belongs to any part of his people, let him go up, and may his God be with him!

이 백성의 남은 자들이 머무르고 있는 모든 지방의 사람들은, 예루살렘에 계시는 하느님의 집을 위한 자원 예물과 함께, 은과 금과 물품과 짐승으로 그들 모두를 후원하여라.”

▶ Let everyone who has survived, in whatever place he may have dwelt, be assisted by the people of that place with silver, gold, goods, and cattle, together with free-will offerings for the house of God in Jerusalem.'"

그리하여 유다와 벤야민의 각 가문의 우두머리들과 사제들과 레위인들, 곧 예루살렘에 올라가서 그곳에 계신 주님의 집을 짓도록 하느님께서 마음을 움직여 주신 이들이 모두 떠날 채비를 하였다.

▶ Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and Levites - everyone, that is, whom God had inspired to do so - prepared to go up to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem.

그러자 이웃 사람들은 저마다 온갖 자원 예물 외에도, 은 기물과 금과 물품과 짐승, 그리고 값진 선물로 그들을 도와주었다.

▶ All their neighbors gave them help in every way, with silver, gold, goods, and cattle, and with many precious gifts besides all their free-will offerings.

키루스 임금은 네부카드네자르가 예루살렘에서 가져다가 자기 신전에 두었던 주님의 집 기물들을 꺼내 오게 하였다.

▶ King Cyrus, too, had the utensils of the house of the LORD brought forth which Nebuchadnezzar had taken away from Jerusalem and placed in the house of his god.

페르시아 임금 키루스는 재무상 미트르닷을 시켜 그것들을 꺼내 오게 한 다음, 낱낱이 세어 유다 제후 세스바차르에게 넘겨주도록 하였다.

▶ Cyrus, king of Persia, had them brought forth by the treasurer Mithredath, and counted out to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.

그 품목은 이러하다. 금 접시가 서른 개, 은 접시가 천 개, 칼이 스물아홉 자루,

▶ This was the inventory: sacks of goldware, thirty; sacks of silverware, one thousand and twenty-nine;

금 대접이 서른 개, 이급 은 대접이 사백열 개, 그 밖에 다른 기물이 천 개였다.

▶ golden bowls, thirty; silver bowls, four hundred and ten; other ware, one thousand pieces.

그리하여 금 기물과 은 기물은 모두 오천사백 개였다. 세스바차르는 유배자들을 바빌론에서 예루살렘으로 데리고 올라오면서, 이 기물들을 모두 가지고 왔다.

▶ Total of the gold - and silver ware: five thousand four hundred pieces. All these Sheshbazzar took with him when the exiles were brought back from Babylon to Jerusalem.
