▶ For while we are in this tent we groan and are weighed down, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

▶ Therefore, we aspire to please him, whether we are at home or away.

▶ Therefore, since we know the fear of the Lord, we try to persuade others; but we are clearly apparent to God, and I hope we are also apparent to your consciousness.

그렇다고 해서 우리가 또 우리 자신을 여러분에게 내세우려는 것은 아닙니다. 다만 여러분이 우리를 자랑할 수 있는 계기를 주어, 마음이 아니라 겉만 자랑하는 자들에게 반박할 수 있게 해 주려는 것뿐입니다.

▶ We are not commending ourselves to you again but giving you an opportunity to boast of us, so that you may have something to say to those who boast of external appearance rather than of the heart.
