"When you have come into the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you as a heritage, and have occupied it and settled in it,

▶ “너희는 주 너희 하느님께서 너희에게 상속 재산으로 주시는 땅에 들어가 그것을 차지하여 그곳에 자리 잡게 되면,
|
|

|
you shall take some first fruits of the various products of the soil which you harvest from the land which the LORD, your God, gives you, and putting them in a basket, you shall go to the place which the LORD, your God, chooses for the dwelling place of his name.

▶ 주 너희 하느님께서 너희에게 주시는 땅에서 거두어들이는 모든 수확의 맏물을 가져다가 광주리에 담아, 주 너희 하느님께서 당신의 이름을 머무르게 하시려고 선택하시는 곳으로 가야 한다.

|
There you shall go to the priest in office at that time and say to him, 'Today I acknowledge to the LORD, my God, that I have indeed come into the land which he swore to our fathers he would give us.
|

▶ 그리고 너희는 그때에 직무를 맡은 사제에게 가서, ‘주 우리 조상들의 하느님께서 우리에게 주시겠다고 맹세하신 땅으로 우리가 들어왔음을, 오늘 주 당신의 하느님께 아룁니다.’ 하고 말해야 한다.

The priest shall then receive the basket from you and shall set it in front of the altar of the LORD, your God.

▶ 사제가 너희 손에서 광주리를 받아 그것을 주 너희 하느님의 제단 앞에 놓으면,

|
Then you shall declare before the LORD, your God, 'My father was a wandering Aramean who went down to Egypt with a small household and lived there as an alien. But there he became a nation great, strong and numerous.

▶ 너희는 주 너희 하느님 앞에서 이렇게 말해야 한다. ‘저희 조상은 떠돌아다니는 아람인이었습니다. 그는 몇 안 되는 사람들과 이집트로 내려가 이방인으로 살다가, 거기에서 크고 강하고 수가 많은 민족이 되었습니다.

When the Egyptians maltreated and oppressed us, imposing hard labor upon us,

▶ 그러자 이집트인들이 저희를 학대하고 괴롭히며 저희에게 심한 노역을 시켰습니다.

|
we cried to the LORD, the God of our fathers, and he heard our cry and saw our affliction, our toil and our oppression.

▶ 그래서 저희가 주 저희 조상들의 하느님께 부르짖자, 주님께서는 저희의 소리를 들으시고, 저희의 고통과 불행, 그리고 저희가 억압당하는 것을 보셨습니다.

He brought us out of Egypt with his strong hand and outstretched arm, with terrifying power, with signs and wonders;
|

▶ 주님께서는 강한 손과 뻗은 팔로, 큰 공포와 표징과 기적으로 저희를 이집트에서 이끌어 내셨습니다.

and bringing us into this country, he gave us this land flowing with milk and honey.

Therefore, I have now brought you the first fruits of the products of the soil which you, O LORD, have given me.' And having set them before the LORD, your God, you shall bow down in his presence.

Then you and your family, together with the Levite and the aliens who live among you, shall make merry over all these good things which the LORD, your God, has given you.

▶ “너희는 세 해마다 십일조를 바칠 때에 너희 소출에서 십분의 일을 모두 떼어 놓고, 그것을 레위인과 이방인과 고아와 과부에게 주어 그들이 너희 성안에서 배불리 먹게 될 때,

you shall declare before the LORD, your God, 'I have purged my house of the sacred portion and I have given it to the Levite, the alien, the orphan and the widow, just as you have commanded me. In this I have not broken or forgotten any of your commandments:

|
I have not eaten any of the tithe as a mourner; I have not brought any of it out as one unclean; I have not offered any of it to the dead. I have thus hearkened to the voice of the LORD, my God, doing just as you have commanded me.

Look down, then, from heaven, your holy abode, and bless your people Israel and the soil you have given us in the land flowing with milk and honey which you promised on oath to our fathers.

Today you are making this agreement with the LORD: he is to be your God and you are to walk in his ways and observe his statutes, commandments and decrees, and to hearken to his voice.

▶ 주님을 두고 오늘 너희는 이렇게 선언하였다. 곧 주님께서 너희의 하느님이 되시고, 너희는 그분의 길을 따라 걸으며, 그분의 규정과 계명과 법규들을 지키고, 그분의 말씀을 듣겠다는 것이다.

And today the LORD is making this agreement with you: you are to be a people peculiarly his own, as he promised you; and provided you keep all his commandments,

he will then raise you high in praise and renown and glory above all other nations he has made, and you will be a people sacred to the LORD, your God, as he promised."
