|
I looked and saw in the firmament above the cherubim what appeared to be sapphire stone; something like a throne could be seen upon it.

▶ 내가 바라보니, 커룹들 머리 위에 있는 궁창에 청옥 같은 것이 나타나는데, 그것은 어좌 형상과 비슷하였다.

He said to the man dressed in linen: Go within the wheelwork under the cherubim; fill both your hands with burning coals from among the cherubim, then scatter them over the city. As I looked on, he entered. The glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherubim, upon which it had been, to the threshold of the temple.

▶ 그분께서 아마포 옷을 입은 사람에게 말씀하셨다. “커룹 밑에 있는 둥근 틀 사이로 들어가, 그 커룹들 사이에서 숯불을 두 손 가득히 채워다가, 이 도성 위로 뿌려라.” 그러자 그는 내가 보는 앞에서 그리로 들어갔다.

As the man entered, the cloud filled the inner court,

▶ 그 사람이 들어갈 때, 커룹들은 주님의 집 오른쪽에 서 있었고, 안뜰에는 구름이 가득 차 있었다.

|
and the glory of the LORD rose from over the cherubim to the threshold of the temple; the temple was filled with the cloud, and all the court was bright with the glory of the LORD.

▶ 그 뒤 주님의 영광이 커룹들 위에서 떠올라 주님의 집 문지방으로 옮겨 가자, 주님의 집은 구름으로 가득 차고, 뜰은 주님 영광의 광채로 가득 찼다.

The noise of the wings of the cherubim could be heard as far as the outer court; it was like the voice of God the Almighty when he speaks.

▶ 그리고 커룹들의 날갯소리가 바깥뜰까지 들리는데, 전능하신 하느님께서 말씀하실 때에 나는 소리와 같았다.

When he had commanded the man dressed in linen to take fire from within the wheelwork, among the cherubim, the man entered and stood by one of the wheels.

▶ 그분께서 아마포 옷을 입은 사람에게, “둥근 틀 사이에서, 커룹들 사이에서 불을 집어내어라.” 하고 명령하시자, 그는 가서 바퀴 곁에 섰다.

Thereupon its cherub stretched out his hand toward the fire that was among the cherubim. He took up some of it and put it in the hands of the one dressed in linen, who took it and came out.

▶ 그러자 커룹 하나가 커룹들 사이에서 손을 내밀어 그들 사이에 있는 불을 집어 들고, 아마포 옷을 입은 이의 두 손에 넘겨주니, 그가 그것을 들고 나왔다.

I also saw four wheels beside them, one wheel beside each cherub; the wheels appeared to have the luster of chrysolite stone.

▶ 내가 또 바라보니, 바퀴 네 개가 커룹들 곁에 있는데, 커룹마다 곁에 바퀴가 하나씩 달려 있었다. 그 바퀴들의 모습은 빛나는 녹주석 같았다.

All four of them seemed to be made the same, as though they were a wheel within a wheel.

▶ 그것들의 모습은 넷이 똑같은 형상인데, 바퀴 안에 또 바퀴가 들어 있는 것 같았다.

When they moved, they went in any one of their four directions without veering as they moved; for in whichever direction they were faced, they went straight toward it without veering as they moved.

▶ 그것들이 나아갈 때에는, 몸을 돌리지 않고 사방 어디로든 갔다. 어디로든 머리 쪽이 향하는 곳으로, 나머지도 나아가면서 몸을 돌리지 않고 그 뒤를 따라갔다.

The rims of the four wheels were full of eyes all around.

▶ 그들의 몸 전체, 등과 손과 날개와 바퀴에까지, 곧 네 커룹의 바퀴들에까지 사방에 눈이 가득하였다.

I heard the wheels given the name "wheelwork."

▶ 바퀴들은 내가 듣기에 ‘둥근 틀’이라고 불렸다.

|
Each had four faces: the first face was that of an ox, the second that of a man, the third that of a lion, and the fourth that of an eagle.

▶ 커룹마다 얼굴이 넷인데, 첫째는 커룹의 얼굴이고, 둘째는 사람의 얼굴, 셋째는 사자의 얼굴, 넷째는 독수리의 얼굴이었다.

Such were the living creatures I had seen by the river Chebar.

When the cherubim moved, the wheels went beside them; when the cherubim lifted their wings to rise from the earth, even then the wheels did not leave their sides.

▶ 커룹들이 나아가면 바퀴들도 곁에서 함께 갔다. 커룹들이 날개를 펴고 땅에서 떠올라도, 바퀴들은 커룹들 곁에서 떨어져 나가지 않았다.

When they stood still, the wheels stood still; when they rose, the wheels rose with them; for the living creatures' spirit was in them.

▶ 커룹들이 멈추면 함께 멈추고, 커룹들이 떠오르면 함께 치솟았다. 바퀴들 안에 생물의 영이 있었기 때문이다.

Then the glory of the LORD left the threshold of the temple and rested upon the cherubim.

These lifted their wings, and I saw them rise from the earth, the wheels rising along with them. They stood at the entrance of the eastern gate of the LORD'S house, and the glory of the God of Israel was up above them.

▶ 그러자 커룹들은 날개를 펴고, 내가 보는 앞에서 땅에서 치솟았다. 그들이 나갈 때에 바퀴들도 옆에서 함께 나갔다. 그들이 주님의 집 동쪽 대문 어귀에 멈추는데, 이스라엘 하느님의 영광이 그들 위에 자리 잡고 있었다.

These were the living creatures I had seen beneath the God of Israel by the river Chebar, whom I now recognized to be cherubim.
