As for you, son of man, utter a lament over Tyre,

▶ “너 사람의 아들아, 티로를 위하여 애가를 불러라.

|
and say to Tyre that is situated at the approaches of the sea, that brought the trade of the peoples to many a coastland: Thus says the Lord GOD: Tyre, you said, "I am a ship, perfect in beauty."

▶ 바다 어귀에 자리 잡은 성읍, 수많은 섬으로 다니며 여러 민족과 장사하는 상인 티로에게 말하여라. ‘주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 티로야, ′나는 더없이 아름다워.′ 하고 너는 말하였다.

In the midst of the sea your builders placed you, perfected your beauty.

▶ 너의 경계선들은 바다 한가운데에 있고 조선공들은 너를 더없이 아름답게 지었다.

With cypress from Senir they built for you all of your decks; Cedar from Lebanon they took to make you a mast;

▶ 너의 바깥 판들은 모두 스니르의 방백나무로 짜고 레바논의 향백나무를 가져다가 네 위에 올린 돛대를 만들었다.

From the highest oaks of Bashan they made your oars; Your bridge they made of cypress wood from the coasts of Kittim.

In their mourning they utter a lament over you; thus they wail over you: Who was ever destroyed like Tyre in the midst of the sea?

▶ 비탄 속에 너를 두고 애가를 부른다. 너를 두고 이런 조가를 부른다. 누가 티로처럼 바다 한가운데에서 멸망하였던가?

With your goods which you drew from the seas you filled many peoples; With your great wealth and merchandise you enriched the kings of the earth.

▶ 너는 바다에서 오는 상품들을 풀어 많은 민족들을 만족시키고 너의 그 많은 재물과 물품으로 세상의 임금들을 부유하게 만들었다.

Now you are wrecked in the sea, in the watery depths; Your wares and all your crew have gone down with you.

All who dwell on the coastlands are aghast over you, Their kings are terrified, their faces convulsed.
