인간의 나약함이여 ! 왜 너는 우리가 언젠가는 하느님과 함께 살게 되리라는 것을 믿는데 망설이는가?

Quid cunctatur humana fragilitas credere futurum esse, ut vivant homines aliquando cum Deo?

 Why does our human frailty hesitate to believe that mankind will one day live with God?

우리는 본질상 생명을 얻을 능력이 없고 그분께서는 본질상 죽음의 가능성이 없습니다. 따라서 그분은 우리와 놀라운 상호교환을 이루셨습니다. 우리의 죽음은 그분의 것이 되었고, 그분의 생명은 우리의 것이 되었습니다.

Nam nec unde viveremus nos habebamus de nostro, nec unde moreretur ille de suo. Mirum proinde nobiscum egit mutua participatione commercium : nostrum erat, unde mortuus est; illius erit, unde vivamus.

Of ourselves we had no power to live, nor did he of himself have the power to die. In other words, he performed the most wonderful exchange with us. Through us, he died; through him, we shall live.

형제들이여, 그리스도께서 우리를 위해 십자가에 못 박히셨다는 것을 용감하게 또 분명히 고백합시다. 망설임이 아닌 즐거운 마음으로, 수치심을 지니고서가 아니라 자랑스럽게 고백합시다.

Confiteamur itaque, fratres, intrepidi, vel etiam profiteamur Christum pro nobis esse crucifixum: non paventes sed gaudentes, non verecundantes sed gloriantes dicamus.

Brethren, let us then fearlessly acknowledge, and even openly proclaim, that Christ was crucified for us; let us confess it, not in fear but in joy, not in shame but in glory.
