‘이날은 주께서 마련하신 날, 이날을 기뻐하자, 춤들을 추자.’그러면 이날은 무슨 날입니까. 이날은 바로 생명의 원천이시고 빛의 근원이시며 광채의 창조주 이신 우리 주 예수 그리스도이십니다. 주님은 당신 자신에 관해‘나는 낮이다. 낮에 거니는 사람은 넘어지지 않는다’라고 말씀하십니다. 그래서 그리스도를 따르는 사람은 그리스도의 발자취를 따라 영원한 빛이 비추는 그 옥좌에 도달할 것입니다.

Hic est dies quem fecit Dominus: exsultemus et laetemur in eo. Quis, inquam, dies? Namque ille qui attribuit vivendi principium, lucis exordium, auctor luminis, id est, ipse Dominus Iesus Christus, qui de semetipso ait: Ego sum. inquit, dies; qui per diem amblat, non offendit, id est: qui Christum in omnibus sequitur, per eius vestgia usque ad aeternae lucis solium transmeabit.

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad. And what is this day? It is the Lord Jesus Christ himself, the author of light, who brings the sunrise and the beginning of life, saying of himself: I am the light of day; whoever walks in daylight does not stumble. That is to say, whoever follows Christ in all things will come by this path to the throne of eternal light.
