헨리 나웬 신부님(1932.1.24-1996.9.21)의 오! 그리고 늘! 7월 16일 <남에게 주어진다는 것> Being Given 예수님께서는 세상에 주어진 분이십니다. 그분은 선택되셨고 축복받으셨으며 쪼개어 주어지신 겁니다. 예수님의 삶과 죽음은 남들을 위한 삶과 죽음이었습니다. 영원으로부터 선택받으신 하느님의 아드님께서 십자가에서 쪼개지셨기에 이 한생명은 한없이 불어나 모든 장소와 시대에 살아간 이들의 양식이 되실 수 있던 겁니다. 하느님의 사랑하는 자녀인 우리가 하느님께서 선택하시고 축복하신 자녀로 살아간다면 우리네 보잘 것없는 삶도 쪼개져 남들에게 주어지는거라고믿어야 합니다. 우리도 세상의 양식이 돼야 하는 겁니다. 축복 아래서 쪼개지며 살아간다면 우리삶에선 세세대대로 열매가 계속 맺힐 겁니다. 바로 성인들의 이야기가 그렇습니다. 그분들은 이승을 떠나셨지만 나중에 살아가는 모든 이들의 가슴 속에는 계속 살아계신 겁니다. 하여 우리의 이야기가 될 수도 있는 겁니다. Being Given JULY 16 Jesus is given to the world. He was chosen, blessed, and broken to be given. Jesus’ life and death were a life and death for others. The Beloved Son of God, chosen from all eternity, was broken on the cross so that this one life could multiply and become food for people of all places and all times. As God’s beloved children we have to believe that our little lives, when lived as God’s chosen and blessed children, are broken to be given to others. We too have to become bread for the world. When we live our brokenness under the blessing, our lives will continue to bear fruit from generation to generation. That is the story of the saints – they died, but they continue to be alive in the hearts of those who live after them – and it can be our story too. † 성부와 성자와 성령의 이름으로 아멘. |
