헨리 나웬 신부님(1932-1996)의 오! 그리고 늘 ! 12월 1일 <부활하신 그리스도님을 뵙는다는 것 > Meeting the Risen Christ 예수님께서는 부활하신 후 제자들에게 나타나셔서 유령이 아니라 예전에 스승이요 벗으로 알고 있던 바로 그 분이시라고 안심시켜 주셨습니다. 겁에 질리고 의심하는 제자들에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. "내 손과 내 발을 보아라. 바로 나다. 나를 만져 보아라."(루카 24,39) 하여 그들에게 먹을 것을 달라고 하시고 또 그 후 세 번째로 나타나셨을 때엔 손수 빵과 물고기로 아침밥을 차려주셨습니다(루카 24,42-43, 요한 21,12-14 참조). 하지만 예수님께서는 당신 몸이 더 이상 자연법칙에 구속받지 않으시는 새로운 영성의 몸이라는 걸 보여주셨습니다. 예수님꼐서는 제자들이 방에 모여 문을 걸어 잠그고 있을 때 오시어 가운데에 서 계셨으며 (요한 20,19 참조) 또 제자들에게 아침을 차려주셨지만 아무도 감히 “누구십니까?”하고 묻는 이들이 없었습니다. 그분이 주님이시고 스승이신 예수님이심을 알아봤지만 더 이상 이승에 계신 분이 아니시라는 것도 알아차렸던 겁니다(요한 21,12 참조). 이처럼 제자들에게 드러내신 부활한 예수님을 체험한 것이야말로 바로 그이들을 기다리고 있던 부활한 생명인 겁니다. 우리가 살아가면서 어떤 체험이 약속받은 새 생명을 넌지시 알려주는 걸까요? Meeting the Risen Christ DECEMBER 1 When Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection, he convinced them that he was not a ghost but the same one that they had known as their teacher and friend. To his frightened and doubtful friends he said: “See by my hands and my feet that it is I myself. Touch me and see for yourselves” (Luke 24:39). Then he asked them for something to eat and later, when he appeared to them for the third time, he offered them breakfast, bread and fish (see Luke 24:42-43 and John 21:12-14). But Jesus also showed them that his body was a new spiritual body, no longer subject to the laws of nature. While the doors of the room where the disciples had gathered were closed, Jesus came and stood among them (see John 20:19), and when he offered them breakfast, nobody dared to ask: “Who are you?” They knew it was Jesus, their Lord and teacher, but they also knew that he no longer belonged to their world (see John 21:12). It was this experience of the risen Jesus that revealed to his disciples the life in the resurrection that was awaiting them.
