[(백) 부활 제2주일 곧, 하느님의 자비 주일]  <세상에 사는 사명을 이룬다는 것> Fulfilling a Mission 우리가 살아가는 걸 ‘사명들’로 여기면 하느님께서 보내서 떠났고 또 다시 돌아가야 할 집이 있음을 깨닫게 됩니다. 그러면 우리 자신이 머나 먼 나라에서 정해진 시간 동안 어떤 소식을 전하거나 맡겨진 일을 수행하는 이라는 생각이 들기 마련입니다. 해서 소식을 잘 전하고 일도 잘 마치면 집으로 돌아가서 우리가 이룬 일들을 설명하고 그 동안 힘들게 하던 일에서 쉬고 싶은 마음이 간절해 집니다. 가장 중요한 영성 수련 가운데 한가지는 우리가 살아온 세월이 바로 '사명을 수행하며' 보낸 날들임을 시나브로 깨달아 가는 겁니다. "비와 눈은 하늘에서 내려와 그리로 돌아가지 않고 오히려 땅을 적시어 기름지게 하고 싹이 돋아나게 하여 씨 뿌리는 사람에게 씨앗을 주고 먹는 이에게 양식을 준다. 이처럼 내 입에서 나가는 나의 말도 나에게 헛되이 돌아오지 않고 반드시 내가 뜻하는 바를 이루며 내가 내린 사명을 완수하고야 만다. 정녕 너희는 기뻐하며 떠나고 평화로이 인도되리라. 산과 언덕들은 너희 앞에서 기뻐 소리치고 들의 나무들은 모두 손뼉을 치리라.(이사55,10-12) Fulfilling a Mission APRIL 24 When we live our lives as missions, we become aware that there is a home from where we are sent and to where we have to return. We start thinking about ourselves as people who are in a faraway country to bring a message or work on a project, but only for a certain amount of time. When the message has been delivered and the project is finished, we want to return home to give an account of our mission and to rest from our labours. One of the most important spiritual disciplines is to develop the knowledge that the years of our lives are years “on a mission.” "As the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands." - Isaiah 55: 10-12 † 성부와 성자와 성령의 이름으로 아멘. |
