헨리 나웬  신부님(1932.1.24-1996.9.21)의 오! 그리고 늘! 9월 25일 <빛의 자녀가 되는 세례성사> Baptism: Becoming Children of the Light 예수님께서는 마지막으로 제자들에게 나타나셔  세상으로 파견하시면서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “너희는 가서 모든 민족들을 제자를 삼아,  아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 주어라”(마태 28,19). 예수님께서는 우리가 아버지이시고 아들이시며 성령이신 하느님과 통공(친교)하고 하느님께서사랑하시는 자녀로 살아갈 수 있는 수단으로 세례성사를 베푸신 겁니다. 세례성사를 통해 우리는 세상 것을 거스르게 되는 겁니다. 세례성사를 통해 더 이상 어둠의 자녀로 머물지 않고 빛의 자녀요 하느님의 자녀가 되기를 원한다고 담대하게 고백하는 겁니다. 우리가 윈하는 건 세상에서 몸을 숨기는 게 아니라 세상 것이 되지 않으면서 세상 속에서 살아가는 겁니다. 세례성사로 우리는 바로 그렇게 할 수 있는 겁니다. "그러니 이제 무엇을 망설입니까? 일어나 그분의 이름을 받들어 부르며 세례를 받고 죄를 용서받으십시오.’(사도22,16) Baptism: Becoming Children of the Light SEPTEMBER 25 When Jesus appears for the last time to his disciples, he sends them out into the world saying: “Go, … make disciples of all nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). Jesus offers us baptism as the way to enter into communion with God, Father, Son, and Spirit, and to live our lives as God’s beloved children. Through baptism we say no to the world. We declare that we no longer want to remain children of the darkness but want to become children of the light, God’s children. We do not want to escape the world, but we want to live in it without belonging to it. That is what baptism enables us to do. "Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name." - Acts 22: 16 (NIV)  † 성부와 성자와 성령의 이름으로 아멘.
