헨리 나웬  신부님(1932.1.24-1996.9.21)의 오! 그리고 늘! 11월 12일 <예수님과 성인들을 기억한다는 것> In Memory of Jesus and the Saints 모든 성인의 통공에 든다는 건 예수님의 영으로 탈바꿈한  모든 이들과 연대한다는 걸 뜻하는 겁니다.  이 연대는 깊고도 친밀합니다.  예수님께서는 이승을 떠나셔도 우리 안에 계속 살고 계시듯이 예수님의 형제자매로 살았던 이들도 우리 안에서 계속 살고 있는 겁니다. 우리는 예수님과 성인들을 기억하며 살아가는 겁니다. 이 기억은 참으로 우리와 함께 계시다(실재적 현존)는 겁니다. 예수님과 성인들은 우리가 가장 친밀하고 영성으로 배운 하느님께 대한 앎의 한 부분인 겁니다. 그분들은 우리에게 영감을 주고 이끌어 주며, 힘을 북돋아 주고 희망을 주시는 겁니다. 우리를 끊임없이 탈바꿈시키는 샘인 겁니다.  그렇습니다. 그분들을 우리 몸에 모심으로써 우리가 함께 살고 일하는 모든 이들에게 살아 있게 하는 겁니다. "여러분은 썩어 없어지는 씨앗이 아니라 썩어 없어지지 않는 씨앗, 곧 살아 계시며 영원히 머물러 계시는 하느님의 말씀을 통하여 새로 태어났습니다."(1베드1,23) In Memory of Jesus and the Saints NOVEMBER 12 Belonging to the communion of saints means being connected with all people transformed by the Spirit of Jesus. This connection is deep and intimate. Those who have lived as brothers and sisters of Jesus continue to live within us, even though they have died, just as Jesus continues to live within us, even though he has died. We live our lives in memory of Jesus and the saints, and this memory is a real presence. Jesus and his saints are part of our most intimate and spiritual knowledge of God. They inspire us, guide us, encourage us, and give us hope. They are the source of our constant transformation. Yes, we carry them in our bodies and thus keep them alive for all with whom we live and work. "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God." - 1 Peter 1: 23 (NIV)  † 성부와 성자와 성령의 이름으로 아멘.
