|
이스라엘 자손들이 이집트 땅에서 나온 그 이듬해 첫째 달, 주님께서 시나이 광야에서 모세에게 이르셨다.

▶ In the first month of the year following their departure from the land of Egypt, the Lord said to Moses in the desert of Sinai,

“이스라엘 자손들은 정해진 때에 파스카 축제를 지내야 한다.

|
|
▶ "Tell the Israelites to celebrate the Passover at the prescribed time.
|
|

|
너희는 정해진 때, 곧 이달 열나흗날 저녁 어스름에 파스카 축제를 지내야 한다. 관련된 모든 규정과 법규에 따라 그것을 지내야 한다.”

|
|
▶ The evening twilight of the fourteenth day of this month is the prescribed time when you shall celebrate it, observing all its rules and regulations."

▶ Moses, therefore, told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover.
|

그래서 그들은 시나이 광야에서 첫째 달 열나흗날 저녁 어스름에 파스카 축제를 지냈다. 이스라엘 자손들은 주님께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 다 하였다.

▶ And they did so, celebrating the Passover in the desert of Sinai during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of the first month, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

그런데 사람의 주검에 몸이 닿아 부정하게 되어, 그날에 파스카 축제를 지내지 못하는 사람들이 있었다. 그날, 그들이 모세와 아론 앞으로 다가와

▶ There were some, however, who were unclean because of a human corpse and so could not keep the Passover that day. These men came up to Moses and Aaron that same day

말하였다. “우리가 사람의 주검에 몸이 닿아 부정하게 되기는 하였지만, 이스라엘 자손들 가운데 우리만 떨어져서 정해진 때에 주님께 예물을 바치지 못할 까닭이 어디 있습니까?”

|
▶ and said, "Although we are unclean because of a corpse, why should we be deprived of presenting the LORD'S offering at its proper time along with the other Israelites?"

모세가 그들에게 대답하였다. “기다려라. 주님께서 너희에게 무엇을 명령하시는지 들어 보아야겠다.”

▶ Moses answered them, "Wait until I learn what the LORD will command in your regard."
|
|

|
주님께서 모세에게 이르셨다.

▶ The LORD then said to Moses:

“이스라엘 자손들에게 일러라. ‘너희와 너희 후손들 가운데 누가 주검에 닿아 부정하게 되거나, 먼 길을 나선다 해도, 주님을 위한 파스카 축제를 지내야 한다.

|
|
▶ "Speak to the Israelites and say: If any one of you or of your descendants is unclean because of a corpse, or if he is absent on a journey, he may still keep the LORD'S Passover.
|
|

|
이런 이들은 둘째 달 열나흗날 저녁 어스름에 파스카 축제를 지내라. 누룩 없는 빵과 쓴나물을 곁들여 파스카 제물을 먹어라.

|
▶ But he shall keep it in the second month, during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of that month, eating it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs,
|

아침까지 아무것도 남겨서는 안 되고, 뼈를 부러뜨려서도 안 된다. 파스카 축제의 모든 규정에 따라 그것을 지내야 한다.

|
|
|
▶ and not leaving any of it over till morning, nor breaking any of its bones, but observing all the rules of the Passover.

|
그러나 정결한 사람이나 길을 나서지 않은 사람이 파스카 축제를 거르고 지내지 않으면, 그는 자기 백성에게서 잘려 나갈 것이다. 정해진 때에 주님에게 예물을 바치지 않았기 때문이다. 그러한 사람은 자기 죗값을 지는 것이다.

▶ However, anyone who is clean and not away on a journey, who yet fails to keep the Passover, shall be cut off from his people, because he did not present the LORD'S offering at the prescribed time. That man shall bear the consequences of his sin.

|
너희와 함께 사는 이방인이 주님을 위한 파스카 축제를 지내고자 하면, 파스카 규정과 법규에 따라 지내야 한다. 이방인이든 본토인이든 너희에게 규정은 한 가지뿐이다.’”

▶ "If an alien who lives among you wishes to keep the LORD'S Passover, he too shall observe the rules and regulations for the Passover. You shall have the same law for the resident alien as for the native of the land."

▶ The Fiery Cloud
|

|
성막을 세우던 날에 구름이 성막, 곧 증언판을 모신 천막을 덮었다. 저녁부터 아침까지는 불 모양으로 성막 위에 자리 잡았다.

|
|
▶ On the day when the Dwelling was erected, the cloud covered the Dwelling, the tent of the commandments; but from evening until morning it took on the appearance of fire over the Dwelling.
|

|
그것은 늘 그러하였다. 구름이 성막을 덮었고, 밤에는 그것이 불 모양으로 변하였다.

|
▶ It was always so: during the day the Dwelling was covered by the cloud, which at night had the appearance of fire.
|

|
구름이 천막에서 올라갈 때마다, 그에 따라 이스라엘 자손들은 길을 떠나고, 구름이 내려앉은 곳에 진을 쳤다.

|
|
|
|
|
▶ Whenever the cloud rose from the tent, the Israelites would break camp; wherever the cloud came to rest, they would pitch camp.
|

|
이렇게 이스라엘 자손들은 주님의 분부에 따라 길을 떠나고, 주님의 분부에 따라 진을 쳤다. 구름이 성막 위에 내려앉은 동안 내내 그들은 진을 치고 살았다.

▶ At the bidding of the LORD the Israelites moved on, and at his bidding they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the Dwelling, they remained in camp.

|
구름이 성막 위에서 많은 날을 지체할 때에도, 이스라엘 자손들은 주님의 명령을 지켜 길을 떠나지 않았다.

▶ Even when the cloud tarried many days over the Dwelling, the Israelites obeyed the LORD and would not move on;
|

|
구름이 성막 위에 며칠만 머무를 때도 있었다. 그럴 때에도 그들은 주님의 분부에 따라 진을 치고, 주님의 분부에 따라 길을 떠났다.

|
▶ yet sometimes the cloud was over the Dwelling only for a few days. It was at the bidding of the LORD that they stayed in camp, and it was at his bidding that they departed.

|
구름이 저녁부터 아침까지만 머무를 때도 있었다. 그럴 때에도 아침에 구름이 올라가면, 그들은 길을 떠났다. 하루 밤낮을 머무를 때에도, 구름이 올라가면 그들은 길을 떠났다.

|
▶ Sometimes the cloud remained there only from evening until morning; and when it rose in the morning, they would depart. Or if the cloud lifted during the day, or even at night, they would then set out.
|

|
이틀이든 한 달이든 또는 그 이상이든 구름이 성막 위에 내려앉아 지체하면, 이스라엘 자손들은 진을 친 채 길을 떠나지 않았다. 그러다가 구름이 올라가면 그들은 길을 떠났다.

|
▶ Whether the cloud tarried over the Dwelling for two days or for a month or longer, the Israelites remained in camp and did not depart; but when it lifted, they moved on.

|
이렇게 그들은 주님의 분부에 따라 진을 치고, 주님의 분부에 따라 길을 떠났다. 그들은 주님께서 모세를 통하여 내리신 분부에 따라 주님의 명령을 지켰다.

▶ Thus, it was always at the bidding of the LORD that they encamped, and at his bidding that they set out; ever heeding the charge of the LORD, as he had bidden them through Moses.
