▶ 아마포 띠의 가르침
|

|
The LORD said to me: Go buy yourself a linen loincloth; wear it on your loins, but do not put it in water.
|

▶ 주님께서 나에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “가서 아마포 띠를 사, 허리에 두르고 물에 담그지 마라.”
|

I bought the loincloth, as the LORD commanded, and put it on.
|

|
|
▶ 그래서 주님의 분부대로 나는 띠를 사서 허리에 둘렀다.
|
|

|
A second time the word of the LORD came to me thus:

▶ 그러자 주님의 말씀이 두 번째로 나에게 내렸다.
|
|

|
Take the loincloth which you bought and are wearing, and go now to the Parath; there hide it in a cleft of the rock.
|

▶ “네가 사서 허리에 두른 띠를 가지고 일어나 유프라테스 강으로 가거라. 그리고 거기 바위 틈새에 띠를 숨겨 두어라.”

Obedient to the LORD'S command, I went to the Parath and buried the loincloth.

▶ 주님께서 나에게 명령하신 대로 나는 유프라테스 강으로 가서 띠를 숨겼다.

|
After a long interval, he said to me: Go now to the Parath and fetch the loincloth which I told you to hide there.
|

▶ 여러 날이 지난 뒤에 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다. “일어나 유프라테스 강으로 가서, 내가 너더러 거기 숨겨 두라고 명령한 띠를 가져오너라.”

Again I went to the Parath, sought out and took the loincloth from the place where I had hid it. But it was rotted, good for nothing!

▶ 그래서 유프라테스 강으로 가 흙을 헤치고, 숨겨 둔 곳에서 띠를 꺼냈다. 그런데 그 띠가 썩어서 아무짝에도 쓸모없게 되었다.

Then the message came to me from the LORD:

▶ 그때 주님의 말씀이 다시 나에게 내렸다.
|

|
Thus says the LORD: So also I will allow the pride of Judah to rot, the great pride of Jerusalem.
|

▶ 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. “나도 유다의 교만과 예루살렘의 큰 교만을 그처럼 썩혀 버리겠다.
|

|
This wicked people who refuse to obey my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts, and follow strange gods to serve and adore them, shall be like this loincloth which is good for nothing.

▶ 이 사악한 백성이 내 말을 듣기를 마다하고, 제 고집스러운 마음에 따라 다른 신들을 좇아 다니며 그것들을 섬기고 예배하였으니, 아무짝에도 쓸모없는 이 띠처럼 되고 말 것이다.

|
For, as close as the loincloth clings to a man's loins, so had I made the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah cling to me, says the LORD; to be my people, my renown, my praise, my beauty. But they did not listen.

▶ 이 띠가 사람의 허리에 붙어 있듯이 내가 온 이스라엘 집안과 온 유다 집안을 나에게 붙어 있게 한 것은 ─ 주님의 말씀이다. ─ 그들이 내 백성이 되어 명성과 칭송과 영광을 얻게 하려고 한 것이다. 그러나 그들은 순종하지 않았다.”

Now speak to them this word: Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Every wineflask is meant to be filled with wine. If they reply, "Do we not know that every wineflask is meant to be filled with wine?"

▶ 너는 그들에게 이 말을 하여라. “주 이스라엘의 하느님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. ‘항아리마다 술이 가득 찰 것이다. 그러면 그들이 너에게 ′항아리마다 술이 가득 차야 한다는 걸 우리가 모르는 줄 아느냐?′ 하고 말할 것이다.

|
say to them: Thus says the LORD: Beware! I am filling with drunkenness all the inhabitants of this land, the kings who succeed to David's throne, the priests and prophets, and all the citizens of Jerusalem.

▶ 그러면 너는 그들에게 말하여라. ′주님이 이렇게 말한다. 이제 내가 이 땅의 모든 주민과, 다윗 왕좌에 앉은 임금들과 사제들과 예언자들과, 예루살렘의 모든 주민을 잔뜩 취하게 하겠다.

I will dash them against each other, fathers and sons together, says the LORD; I will show no compassion, I will not spare or pity, but will destroy them.

▶ 그리하여 그들이 서로 부딪쳐, 심지어 아버지와 자식이 함께 부딪쳐 깨지게 하겠다. 주님의 말씀이다. 나는 그들을 파괴하면서 불쌍히 여기거나 동정을 베풀거나 가엾이 여기지 않겠다.′’”

Give glory to the LORD, your God, before it grows dark; Before your feet stumble on darkening mountains; Before the light you look for turns to darkness, changes into black clouds.

▶ 주 너희 하느님께서 어둠을 가져오시기 전에, 너희 발이 땅거미 지는 산등성이에서 비틀거리기 전에 그분께 영광을 드려라. 그러지 않으면 너희가 빛을 기다리고 있는데도 그분께서 빛을 어둠으로 바꾸시고 암흑으로 만드시리라.

If you do not listen to this in your pride, I will weep in secret many tears; My eyes will run with tears for the LORD'S flock, led away to exile.

The cities of the Negeb are besieged, with no one to relieve them; All Judah is banished in universal exile.

Lift up your eyes and see men coming from the north. Where is the flock entrusted to you, the sheep that were your glory?

What will you say when they place as rulers over you those whom you taught to be your lovers? Will not pangs seize you like those of a woman giving birth?

▶ 네 친구가 되도록 네가 직접 가르친 자들이 네 위에 군림한다면 너는 무슨 말을 할 수 있겠느냐? 아이 낳는 여인의 진통과 같은 고통이 너를 사로잡지 않겠느냐?

If you ask in your heart why these things befall you: For your great guilt your skirts are stripped away and you are violated.

▶ 사실 너는 마음속으로 ‘어찌하여 이런 일들이 내게 닥쳤는가?’ 하고 묻는다. 네 치마가 걷어 올려지고 네 몸이 폭행을 당한 것은 너의 큰 죄 때문이다.

Can the Ethiopian change his skin? the leopard his spots? As easily would you be able to do good, accustomed to evil as you are.

I now will strip off your skirts from you, so that your shame will appear.

Your adulteries, your neighings, your shameless prostitutions: On the hills in the highlands I see these horrible crimes of yours. Woe to you, Jerusalem, how long will it yet be before you become clean!
