그러면 민족들이 너의 의로움을, 임금들이 너의 영광을 보리라. 너는 주님께서 친히 지어 주실 새로운 이름으로 불리리라.

▶ Nations shall behold your vindication, and all kings your glory; You shall be called by a new name pronounced by the mouth of the LORD.

너는 주님의 손에 들려 있는 화려한 면류관이 되고 너의 하느님 손바닥에 놓여 있는 왕관이 되리라.

▶ You shall be a glorious crown in the hand of the LORD, a royal diadem held by your God.

|
다시는 네가 ‘소박맞은 여인’이라, 다시는 네 땅이 ‘버림받은 여인’이라 일컬어지지 않으리라. 오히려 너는 ‘내 마음에 드는 여인’이라, 너의 땅은 ‘혼인한 여인’이라 불리리니 주님께서 너를 마음에 들어 하시고 네 땅을 아내로 맞아들이실 것이기 때문이다.

▶ No more shall men call you "Forsaken," or your land "Desolate," But you shall be called "My Delight," and your land "Espoused." For the LORD delights in you, and makes your land his spouse.

정녕 총각이 처녀와 혼인하듯 너를 지으신 분께서 너와 혼인하고 신랑이 신부로 말미암아 기뻐하듯 너의 하느님께서는 너로 말미암아 기뻐하시리라.

▶ As a young man marries a virgin, your Builder shall marry you; And as a bridegroom rejoices in his bride so shall your God rejoice in you.

예루살렘아, 너의 성벽 위에 내가 파수꾼들을 세웠다. 그들은 낮이고 밤이고 잠시도 잠잠하지 않으리라. 주님의 기억을 일깨우는 자들아 너희는 쉬지 마라.

▶ Upon your walls, O Jerusalem, I have stationed watchmen; Never, by day or by night, shall they be silent. O you who are to remind the LORD, take no rest

그분께서 예루살렘을 일으켜 세우시어 세상에서 칭송을 받게 하시기까지 너희는 그분을 쉬시게 하지 마라.

▶ And give no rest to him, until he re-establishes Jerusalem And makes of it the pride of the earth.

주님께서 당신의 오른손을 걸고, 당신의 힘센 팔을 걸고 맹세하셨다. “내가 다시는 너의 곡식을 네 원수들의 양식으로 내주지 않으리라. 네가 수고하여 얻은 포도주를 다시는 이방인들이 마시지 않으리라.

▶ The LORD has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: No more will I give your grain as food to your enemies; Nor shall foreigners drink your wine, for which you toiled.

곡식을 모아들인 이들이 그것을 먹고 주님을 찬미하리라. 포도주를 짜낸 이들이 그것을 내 성소의 뜰에서 마시리라.”

▶ But you who harvest the grain shall eat it, and you shall praise the LORD; You who gather the grapes shall drink the wine in the courts of my sanctuary.

|
나가라, 성문을 지나 나가라. 백성을 위한 길을 닦아라. 쌓아 올려라, 쌓아 올려라, 큰길을 내어라. 돌을 골라내어라. 민족들 위에 깃발을 올려라.

▶ Pass through, pass through the gates, prepare the way for the people; Build up, build up the highway, clear it of stones, raise up a standard over the nations.

|
보라, 주님께서 땅 끝까지 선포하셨다. 딸 시온에게 말하여라. “보라, 너의 구원이 다가온다. 보라, 그분의 상급이 그분과 함께 오고 그분의 보상이 그분 앞에 서서 온다.”

▶ See, the LORD proclaims to the ends of the earth: Say to daughter Zion, your savior comes! Here is his reward with him, his recompense before him.

사람들이 그들을 ‘거룩한 백성’ ‘주님의 구원을 받은 이들’이라 부르리라. 그리고 너는 ‘그리워 찾는 도성’ ‘버림받지 않은 도성’이라 불리리라.

▶ They shall be called the holy people, the redeemed of the LORD, And you shall be called "Frequented," a city that is not forsaken.
