주님께서 바다 위로 당신 손을 뻗치시어 왕국들을 떨게 만드셨다. 주님께서 가나안을 거슬러 그 요새들을 파괴하라고 명령하셨다.

▶ His hand he stretches out over the sea, he shakes kingdoms; The LORD has ordered the destruction of Canaan's strongholds.

그리고 말씀하셨다. “짓밟힌 여자, 처녀 딸 시돈아 네가 다시는 기뻐 뛰지 못하리라. 일어나 키팀으로 건너가 보아라. 거기에서도 편안하지 못하리라.”

칼데아인들의 땅을 보아라. 이제 그 백성은 없다. 아시리아가 그곳을 사막 짐승들이나 사는 곳으로 만들었다. 그들은 공격 축대를 세워 그 궁궐들을 허물어뜨리고 그곳을 폐허로 만들어 버렸다.

|
그날에 이러한 일이 일어날 것이다. 티로는 한 임금의 수명과 같은 일흔 해 동안 잊힐 것이다. 일흔 해가 지난 뒤에 티로는 창녀에 대한 이 노래처럼 될 것이다.

▶ On that day, Tyre shall be forgotten for seventy years. With the days of another king, at the end of seventy years, it shall be for Tyre as in the song about the harlot:

수금을 들고 성읍을 돌아다녀라, 너 잊어진 창녀야. 사람들이 너를 다시 생각하도록 수금을 멋지게 뜯으며 마냥 노래 불러라.

▶ Take a harp, go about the city, O forgotten harlot; Pluck the strings skillfully, sing many songs, that they may remember you.

|
일흔 해가 지난 뒤에 주님께서는 티로를 돌보아 주실 것이다. 그러면 그는 다시 해웃값을 받게 되어, 땅 위에 있는 세상의 모든 왕국들에게 몸을 팔 것이다.

▶ At the end of the seventy years the LORD shall visit Tyre. She shall return to her hire and deal with all the world's kingdoms on the face of the earth.

그러나 그 벌이와 해웃값은 쌓이거나 모이지 않고 주님께 봉헌될 것이다. 그 벌이는 주님 앞에서 사는 이들이 넉넉한 음식과 값진 의복을 장만하도록 바쳐질 것이다.

▶ But her merchandise and her hire shall be sacred to the LORD. It shall not be stored up or laid away, but from her merchandise those who dwell before the LORD shall eat their fill and clothe themselves in choice attire.
