▶ 백성의 수령들이 심판받는다

|
Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of the temple. At the entrance of the gate I saw twenty-five men, among whom were Jaazaniah, son of Azzur, and Pelatiah, son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

▶ 주님의 영이 나를 들어 올리시어, 주님의 집 동쪽 대문으로 데려가셨다. 그 대문 어귀에는 스물다섯 사람이 있었는데, 나는 그들 가운데에 아쭈르의 아들 야아잔야와 브나야의 아들 플라트야가 있는 것을 보았다. 그들은 백성의 수령이었다.

The LORD said to me: Son of man, these are the men who are planning evil and giving wicked counsel in this city.

▶ 그분께서 나에게 말씀하셨다. “사람의 아들아, 이 사람들은 이 도성에서 부정을 꾀하고 악한 계획을 꾸미는 자들이다.

"Shall we not," they say, "be building houses soon? The city is the kettle, and we are the meat."

▶ 그러면서 그들은 ‘집을 지을 때는 아직 멀었다. 이 도성은 솥이고 우리는 그 안에 담긴 살코기다.’ 하고 말한다.

Therefore prophesy against them, son of man, prophesy!
|

|
▶ 그러므로 그들을 거슬러 예언하여라. 사람의 아들아, 예언하여라.”

|
Then the spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and he told me to say: Thus says the LORD: This is the way you talk, house of Israel, and what you are plotting I well know.
|

▶ 그런 다음 주님의 영이 나에게 내려오시자, 그분께서 나에게 말씀하셨다. “너는 말하여라. ‘주님이 이렇게 말한다. 이스라엘 집안아, 너희의 생각은 이러하다. 너희 영에서 떠오르는 생각들을 나는 알고 있다.

You have slain many in this city and have filled its streets with your slain.

▶ 너희는 이 도성에서 살해된 이들의 수를 늘려 거리거리를 시체로 가득 채웠다.

|
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Your slain whom you have placed within it, they are the meat, and the city is the kettle; but you I will take out of it.
|

▶ 그러므로 주 하느님이 말한다. 너희가 이 도성 안에 쌓아 놓은 살해된 이들이 바로 살코기고 이 도성은 솥이다. 그리고 너희는 이 도성 밖으로 끌려갈 것이다.

|
You fear the sword, but the sword I will bring upon you, says the Lord GOD.

▶ 너희가 두려워하는 것은 칼이다. 그래서 나는 너희에게 칼을 끌어들이겠다. 주 하느님의 말이다.

|
I will bring you out of the city, and hand you over to foreigners, and inflict punishments upon you.

|
▶ 나는 너희를 이 도성에서 끌어내어 이방인들의 손에 넘기겠다. 나는 너희에게 이렇게 심판을 내리겠다.

|
By the sword you shall fall; at the boundaries of Israel I will judge you; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.
|

|
▶ 너희는 칼에 맞아 쓰러질 것이다. 이스라엘의 국경에서 나는 너희를 심판하겠다. 그제야 너희는 내가 주님임을 알게 될 것이다.

|
The city shall not be a kettle for you, nor shall you be the meat within it. At the boundaries of Israel I will judge you,

▶ 이 도성은 너희에게 솥이 되지 않고, 너희는 그 안에 든 살코기가 되지 않을 것이다. 이스라엘의 국경에서 나는 너희를 심판하겠다.

and you shall know that I am the LORD, by whose statutes you have not lived, and whose ordinances you have not kept; rather, you have acted according to the ordinances of the nations around you.

|
▶ 그제야 너희는 내가 주님임을 알게 될 것이다. 너희는 나의 규정들을 따르지도 나의 법규들을 지키지도 않고, 오히려 주변에 있는 민족들의 법규를 따랐다.’”

|
While I was prophesying, Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, died. I fell prone and cried out in a loud voice: "Alas, Lord GOD! will you utterly wipe out what remains of Israel?"

▶ 내가 예언하는 동안에 브나야의 아들 플라트야가 죽었다. 그래서 나는 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드려 큰 소리로 부르짖었다. “아, 주 하느님! 이스라엘의 남은 자들마저 완전히 없애려 하십니까?”

Thus the word of the LORD came to me:

|
Son of man, it is about your kinsmen, your fellow exiles, and the whole house of Israel that the inhabitants of Jerusalem say, "They are far away from the LORD; to us the land of Israel has been given as our possession."

▶ “사람의 아들아, 너의 형제들과 네 친족, 그리고 온 이스라엘 집안 전체를 두고 예루살렘 주민들이, ‘그들은 주님에게서 멀리 떠나 있다. 이 땅은 우리 소유가 되었다.’ 하고 말한다.

|
Therefore say: Thus says the Lord GOD: Though I have removed them far among the nations and scattered them over foreign countries - and was for a while their only sanctuary in the countries to which they had gone -

▶ 그러니 너는 말하여라. ‘주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 내가 비록 그들을 멀리 민족들 사이로 쫓아 버리고 여러 나라로 흩어 버렸지만, 그들이 가 있는 여러 나라에서 얼마간 그들에게 성전이 되어 주겠다.’

|
I will gather you from the nations and assemble you from the countries over which you have been scattered, and I will restore to you the land of Israel.

▶ 그러므로 너는 말하여라. ‘주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 내가 민족들 가운데에서 너희를 모으겠다. 너희가 흩어져 사는 여러 나라에서 내가 너희를 모아들이겠다. 그런 다음 너희에게 이스라엘 땅을 주겠다.

They shall return to it and remove from it all its detestable abominations.
|

▶ 그들은 여기로 돌아와서 혐오스러운 것들과 역겨운 것들을 모두 이 땅에서 치워 버릴 것이다.

|
I will give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove the stony heart from their bodies, and replace it with a natural heart,

▶ 나는 그들에게 다른 마음을 넣어 주고, 그들 안에 새 영을 넣어 주겠다. 그들의 몸에서 돌로 된 마음을 치워 버리고 살로 된 마음을 넣어 주어,

so that they will live according to my statutes, and observe and carry out my ordinances; thus they shall be my people and I will be their God.

▶ 그들이 나의 규정들을 따르고 나의 법규들을 준수하여 그대로 지키게 하겠다. 그리하여 그들은 나의 백성이 되고 나는 그들의 하느님이 될 것이다.

But as for those whose hearts are devoted to their detestable abominations, I will bring down their conduct upon their heads, says the Lord GOD.

|
▶ 그러나 자기들의 혐오스러운 것들과 역겨운 것들을 따르는 마음을 가진 자들에게는, 내가 그들이 걸어온 길을 그 머리 위로 되갚겠다. 주 하느님의 말이다.’”

Then the cherubim lifted their wings, and the wheels went along with them, while up above them was the glory of the God of Israel.

▶ 그런 다음 커룹들이 날개를 펴는데, 그 곁의 바퀴들도 함께 움직였다. 그들 위에는 이스라엘 하느님의 영광이 자리 잡고 있었다.

And the glory of the LORD rose from the city and took a stand on the mountain which is to the east of the city.

▶ 그 주님의 영광이 도성 한가운데에서 떠올라, 도성 동쪽에 있는 산 위에 멈추었다.

In a vision, the spirit lifted me up and brought me back to the exiles in Chaldea, by the spirit of God. The vision I had seen left me,

▶ 그때에 하느님의 영이 보여 주시는 환시 속에서, 그 영이 나를 들어 올리셔서 칼데아에 있는 유배자들에게 데려가셨다. 그러자 내가 본 환시가 나에게서 떠나갔다.

|
and I told the exiles everything the LORD had shown me.
