Thus the word of the LORD came to me:

▶ 주님의 말씀이 나에게 내렸다.

|

|
Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel, prophesy! Say to those who prophesy their own thought: Hear the word of the LORD:

▶ “사람의 아들아, 예언한다고 하는 이스라엘의 예언자들을 거슬러 예언하여라. 제 마음대로 예언하는 자들에게 말하여라. ‘너희는 주님의 말을 들어라.

Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to those prophets who are fools, who follow their own spirit and have seen no vision.

|
|
▶ 주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 불행하여라, 본 것 하나 없이 제 영을 따르는 어리석은 예언자들!

|
Like foxes among ruins are your prophets, O Israel!

|
▶ 이스라엘아, 너희 예언자들은 폐허 속의 여우와 같다.
|
|

|
You did not step into the breach, nor did you build a wall about the house of Israel that would stand firm against attack on the day of the LORD.

|
|
▶ 너희는 성벽이 무너진 곳으로 올라가지 않았다. 주님의 날에 전쟁이 벌어졌을 때 굳게 서 있을 수 있도록, 이스라엘 집안을 위하여 성벽을 보수하지도 않았다.

|
Their visions are false and their divination lying. They say, "Thus says the LORD!" though the LORD did not send them; then they wait for him to fulfill their word!

▶ 그들은 거짓 환시를 보고 속임수 예언을 하며, 주님이 보내지도 않았는데 주님의 말이라고 하면서, 그 말이 이루어지기를 기다린다.

Was not the vision you saw false, and your divination lying?

|
▶ 너희는 거짓 환시를 보고 속임수 점괘를 말하지 않았느냐? 그러면서도 주님의 말이라고 하는데, 나는 말한 적이 없다.
|

|
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have spoken falsehood and have seen lying visions, therefore see! I am coming at you, says the Lord GOD.

|
▶ 그러므로 주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 너희가 거짓을 이야기하고 속임수 환시를 보았으므로, 나는 너희를 대적하겠다. 주 하느님의 말이다.

But I will stretch out my hand against the prophets who have false visions and who foretell lies. They shall not belong to the community of my people, nor be recorded in the register of the house of Israel, nor enter the land of Israel; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.

|
▶ 거짓 환시를 보고 속임수 점괘를 말하는 예언자들에게 나는 손을 대겠다. 그들은 내 백성의 모임에 들지 못하고, 이스라엘 집안의 명단에 오르지도 못하며, 이스라엘 땅으로 들어가지도 못할 것이다. 그제야 너희는 내가 주 하느님임을 알게 될 것이다.

For the very reason that they led my people astray, saying, "Peace!" when there was no peace, and that, as one built a wall, they would cover it with whitewash,

|
|
▶ 정녕, 평화가 없는데도 그들은 평화롭다고 말하면서, 내 백성을 잘못 이끌었다. 그들은 내 백성이 담을 쌓으면 회칠이나 하는 자들이다.’

|
say then to the whitewashers: I will bring down a flooding rain; hailstones shall fall, and a stormwind shall break out.
|

|
|
|
|
▶ 그러므로 너는 회칠하는 자들에게, 담이 무너질 것이라고 말하여라. ‘비가 쏟아지고 큰 우박들이 떨어지며 폭풍이 일어날 것이다.

And when the wall has fallen, will you not be asked: Where is the whitewash you spread on?

|
|
▶ 그러면 벽이 무너질 때에, 너희가 칠한 회는 어디에 있느냐고 사람들이 비난하지 않겠느냐?

|
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: In my fury I will let loose stormwinds; because of my anger there shall be a flooding rain, and hailstones shall fall with destructive wrath.

|
▶ 그러므로 주 하느님이 말한다. 내가 분노하여 폭풍을 일으키고 진노하여 비를 쏟으며, 분노하여 큰 우박을 내려 그 벽을 허물어뜨리겠다.

|
I will tear down the wall that you have whitewashed and level it to the ground, laying bare its foundations. When it falls, you shall be crushed beneath it; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.

▶ 나는 너희가 회칠한 그 벽을 허물고 땅바닥에 쓰러뜨려, 바탕까지 드러나게 하겠다. 그것이 무너지면 너희는 거기에 깔려 죽을 것이다. 그제야 너희는 내가 주님임을 알게 될 것이다.

When I have spent my fury on the wall and its whitewashers, I tell you there shall be no wall, nor shall there be whitewashers -

▶ 나는 이렇게 그 벽과 거기에 회칠한 자들에게 내 화를 다 쏟고 나서, 너희에게 말하겠다. 벽도 없고 거기에 회칠한 자들도 없다고,

|
those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw for it visions of peace when there was no peace, says the Lord GOD.

|
|
▶ 곧 예루살렘을 두고 예언하며 평화가 없는데도 예루살렘에 관하여 평화의 환시를 보는 이스라엘의 예언자들도 없다고 말하겠다. 주 하느님의 말이다.’”

Now, son of man, turn toward the daughters of your people who prophesy their own thoughts; against these, prophesy: Thus says the Lord GOD:

▶ “너 사람의 아들아, 네 동포 가운데 제 마음대로 예언하는 여자들을 주목하고 그들을 거슬러 예언하여라.

Woe to those who sew bands for everyone's wrists and make veils for every size of head so as to entrap their owners. Do you think to entrap the lives of my people, yet keep yourselves alive?

|
|
|
▶ 너는 말하여라. ‘주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 불행하여라, 사람 목숨을 사냥하려고 손목마다 띠를 두르고, 온갖 키에 맞추어 머리에 쓰는 너울을 만드는 여자들! 너희가 내 백성의 목숨을 사냥하면서 너희의 목숨은 부지할 듯싶으냐?

|
You dishonor me before my people with handfuls of barley and crumbs of bread, killing those who should not die and keeping alive those who should not live, lying to my people who willingly hear lies.

|
▶ 너희는 거짓말을 곧이듣는 내 백성에게 거짓말을 하여, 죽어서는 안 될 사람들을 죽이고 살아서는 안 될 사람들을 살려, 보리 몇 줌과 빵 몇 조각 때문에 내 백성 앞에서 나를 욕되게 하였다.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at those bands of yours in which you entrap men's lives: I will tear them from their arms and set free those you have caught.

▶ 그러므로 주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 새를 잡듯이 사람의 목숨을 잡는 데에 쓰는 너희의 띠들을 가만두지 않겠다. 내가 그것들을 너희 팔에서 찢어 내 버리고, 너희가 새를 잡듯이 사냥한 목숨들을 놓아 주겠다.

I will tear off your veils and rescue my people from your power, so that they shall no longer be prey to your hands. Thus you shall know that I am the LORD.

▶ 또 너희의 너울을 찢어 버리고 너희 손에서 내 백성을 구해 내어, 그들이 다시는 너희 손에 사냥감이 되지 않게 하겠다. 그제야 너희는 내가 주님임을 알게 될 것이다.

Because you have disheartened the upright man with lies when I did not wish him grieved, and have encouraged the wicked man not to turn from his evil conduct and save his life;

▶ 내가 의인을 괴롭히지 않았는데도 너희는 속임수로 의인의 마음을 슬프게 하고, 악인의 손을 거들어 그가 자기의 악한 길에서 돌아와 자기 목숨을 살리게 하지 않았다.

therefore you shall no longer see false visions and practice divination, but I will rescue my people from your power. Thus you shall know that I am the LORD.
|

▶ 그러므로 너희는 더 이상 거짓으로라도 환시를 보지 못하고, 어떤 점괘도 말하지 못할 것이다. 그리하여 나는 내 백성을 너희 손에서 구해 내겠다. 그제야 너희는 내가 주님임을 알게 될 것이다.’”
