노아의 자손들 지상에 퍼진 세 인종 Table of the Nations
1 노아의 아들 셈과 함과 야펫의 족보는 이러하다. 홍수가 있은 뒤에 그들에게서 자식들이 태어났다. 1 노아의 아들 셈과 함과 야벳의 계보는 아래와 같다. 홍수가 있은 뒤에 그들은 자식을 낳았다. 1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, to whom sons were born after the flood.
2 야펫의 아들은 고메르, 마곡, 마다이, 야완, 투발, 메섹, 티라스이다. 2 야벳의 아들은 고멜, 마곡, 메대, 야완, 두발, 메섹, 디라스, 2 The descendants of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
3 고메르의 아들은 아스크나즈, 리팟, 토가르마이고, 3 고멜의 아들은 아스그낫, 리밧, 도가르마, 3 The descendants of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 야완의 아들은 엘리사아, 타르시스, 키팀, 도다님이다. 4 야완의 아들은 엘리사아, 다르싯, 기띰, 로다님이었다. 4 The descendants of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, and the Rodanim.
5 이들에게서 바닷가 민족들이 퍼져 나갔다. 이들이 지방과 각 언어와 씨족과 민족에 따라 본 야펫의 자손들이다. 5 이들에게서 바다를 끼고 사는 백성들이 갈라져 나왔다. 이들이 지방과 언어와 씨족과 부족을 따라 갈려 나간 야벳의 후손들이다. 5 These are the descendants of Japheth, and from them sprang the maritime nations, in their respective lands - each with its own language - by their clans within their nations.
6 함의 아들은 에티오피아, 이집트, 풋, 가나안이다. 6 함의 아들은 구스, 이집트, 리비아, 가나안, 6 The descendants of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
7 에티오피아의 아들은 스바, 하윌라, 삽타, 라아마, 삽트카이다. 라아마의 아들은 세바와 드단이다. 7 구스의 아들은 스바, 하윌라, 삽다아, 라아마, 삽드가, 라아마의 아들은 세바와 드단이었다. 7 The descendants of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The descendants of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
8 에티오피아는 니므롯을 낳았는데, 그가 세상의 첫 장사이다. 8 구스에게서 니므롯이 났는데 그는 세상에 처음 나타난 장사였다. 8 Cush became the father of Nimrod, who was the first potentate on earth.
9 그는 주님 앞에도 알려진 용맹한 사냥꾼이었다. 그래서 ‘니므롯처럼 주님 앞에도 알려진 용맹한 사냥꾼’이라는 말이 생겼다. 9 그는 야훼께서도 알아주시는 힘센 사냥꾼이었다. 그래서 '야훼께서도 알아주시는 니므롯 같은 힘센 사냥꾼'이라는 속담까지 생겼다. 9 He was a mighty hunter by the grace of the LORD; hence the saying, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter by the grace of the LORD."
10 그의 왕국은 신아르 지방의 바벨과 에렉과 아카드와 칼네에서 시작되었다. 10 그의 나라는 시날 지방인 바벨과 에렉과 아깟과 갈네에서 시작되었다. 10 The chief cities of his kingdom were Babylon, Erech, and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.
11 그는 그 지방을 떠나 아시리아로 가서 니네베와 르호봇 이르와 켈라를 세우고, 11 그는 그 지방을 떠나 아시리아로 나와서 니느웨와 르호봇 성과 갈라를 세우고, 11 From that land he went forth to Asshur, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, and Calah,
12 니네베와 큰 성읍 켈라 사이에 레센을 세웠다. 12 니느웨와 갈라 사이에 레센이라는 아주 큰 성을 세웠다. 12 as well as Resen, between Nineveh and Calah, the latter being the principal city.
13 이집트는 루드인, 아남인, 르합인, 납투인, 13 이집트에게서 리디아족, 아남족, 르합족, 납두족, 13 Mizraim became the father of the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim,
14 파트로스인, 후에 필리스티아족이 나온 카슬루인, 캅토르인을 낳았다. 14 바드루스족, 가슬루족, 갑돌족이 나왔다. 이 갑돌족에서 불레셋족이 나왔다. 14 the Pathrusim, the Casluhim, and the Caphtorim from whom the Philistines sprang.
15 가나안은 맏아들 시돈, 히타이트, 15 가나안에게서 태어난 첫아들은 시돈이었다. 또 그에게서 헷족과 15 Canaan became the father of Sidon, his first-born, and of Heth;
16 여부스족, 아모리족, 기르가스족, 16 여부스족, 아모리족, 기르갓족, 16 also of the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,
17 히위족, 아르케족, 신족, 17 히위족, 아르키족, 신족, 17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,
18 아르왓족, 체메르족, 하맛족을 낳았다. 그 뒤에 가나안족의 씨족들이 사방으로 흩어져 나갔다. 18 아르왓족, 스말족, 하맛족이 나왔다. 가나안족은 뒤에 사방으로 흩어져 나갔다. 18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward, the clans of the Canaanites spread out,
19 가나안족의 경계는 시돈에서 그라르 쪽으로 가자까지 이르고, 소돔과 고모라와 아드마와 츠보임 쪽으로는 레사에 이르렀다. 19 가나안 지방의 경계선은 시돈에서 시작하여 그랄 쪽으로 내려가다가 가자에 이르고, 거기서 소돔과 고모라와 아드마와 스보임 쪽으로 라사에 이르렀다. 19 so that the Canaanite borders extended from Sidon all the way to Gerar, near Gaza, and all the way to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, near Lasha.
20 이들이 씨족과 언어와 지방과 민족에 따라 본 함의 자손들이다. 20 이것이 씨족과 언어와 지방과 부족을 따라서 갈려 나간 함의 후손들이다. 20 These are the descendants of Ham, according to their clans and languages, by their lands and nations.
21 셈에게서도 자식들이 태어났는데, 그는 에베르의 모든 아들들의 조상이며 야펫의 맏형이다. 21 셈에게서도 아들이 태어났다. 에벨의 모든 후손이 그에게서 나왔는데, 그는 또한 야벳의 맏형이기도 하다. 21 To Shem also, Japheth's oldest brother and the ancestor of all the children of Eber, sons were born.
22 셈의 아들은 엘람, 아시리아, 아르팍삿, 루드, 아람이다. 22 셈에게서는 엘람과 아시리아, 아르박삿, 룻, 아람이 났다. 22 The descendants of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.
23 아람의 아들은 우츠, 훌, 게테르, 마스이다. 23 아람의 아들들은 우스, 훌, 게델, 마스였다. 23 The descendants of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
24 그리고 아르팍삿은 셀라흐를 낳고 셀라흐는 에베르를 낳았다. 24 아르박삿은 셀라를 낳았고 셀라는 에벨을 낳았다. 24 Arpachshad became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.
25 에베르에게서는 아들 둘이 태어났는데, 한 아들의 이름은 펠렉이다. 그의 시대에 세상이 나뉘었기 때문이다. 그 동생의 이름은 욕탄이다. 25 에벨은 아들 둘을 낳았는데, 그 중의 한 아들은 벨렉이라 불리었다. 그의 시대에 인종이 갈라졌다고 해서 그렇게 부른 것이다. 그의 아우는 욕단이라고 불리었다. 25 To Eber two sons were born: the name of the first was Peleg, for in his time the world was divided; and the name of his brother was Joktan.
26 욕탄은 알모닷, 셀렙, 하차르마웻, 예라, 26 욕단에게서 알모닷, 셀렙, 하살마윗, 예라, 26 Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 하도람, 우잘, 디클라, 27 하도람, 우잘, 디클라, 27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28 오발, 아비마엘, 스바, 28 오발, 아비마엘, 세바, 28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
29 오피르, 하윌라, 요밥을 낳았다. 이들이 모두 욕탄의 아들들이다. 29 오빌, 하윌라, 요밥이 났다. 이들은 모두 욕단의 후손들이다. 29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were descendants of Joktan.
30 그들의 거주지는 메사에서 동부 산악 지방인 스파르 쪽까지였다. 30 그들이 살던 지방은 메사에서 스바르에 이르는 동쪽 산악 지대였다. 30 Their settlements extended all the way to Sephar, the eastern hill country.
31 이들이 씨족과 언어와 지방과 민족에 따라 본 셈의 자손들이다. 31 이상이 씨족과 언어와 지방과 부족을 따라 갈려 나간 셈의 후손들이다. 31 These are the descendants of Shem, according to their clans and languages by their lands and nations.
32 이것이 민족 계보에 따라 본 노아 자손들의 씨족들이다. 홍수가 있은 뒤에, 이들에게서 민족들이 세상으로 갈라져 나갔다. 32 각 부족의 계보를 따라 나누어진 노아 후손들의 씨족은 위와 같다. 그들에게서 부족들이 세상에 갈라져 나간 것은 홍수가 있은 뒤의 일이었다. 32 These are the groupings of Noah's sons, according to their origins and by their nations. From these the other nations of the earth branched out after the flood.
