계약 궤를 옮길 준비를 하다 하느님의 궤를 예루살렘에 옮겨 모시다 The Ark Brought to Jerusalem
1 다윗은 다윗 성에 자기가 살 궁을 지었다. 또 하느님의 궤를 모실 곳을 마련하고 천막을 친 다음, 1 다윗은 자기의 도성에 궁들을 지었다. 또 하느님의 궤를 모실 천막을 치고 나서 1 David built houses for himself in the City of David and prepared a place for the ark of God, pitching a tent for it there.
2 이렇게 말하였다. “레위인들 말고는 아무도 하느님의 궤를 멜 수 없다. 주님께서는 그들을 선택하시어, 그들이 영원히 주님의 궤를 메게 하셨고 당신을 위하여 봉직하게 하셨다.” 2 이렇게 선포하였다. "하느님의 궤를 메어 올 사람은 레위인밖에 없다. 야훼께서는 레위인을 뽑아, 영원히 당신의 궤를 메게 하셨고 당신을 섬기게 하셨다." 2 At that time he said, "No one may carry the ark of God except the Levites, for the LORD chose them to carry the ark of the LORD and to minister to him forever."
3 다윗은 자기가 마련한 곳에 주님의 궤를 모셔 오려고, 온 이스라엘을 예루살렘에 불러 모았다. 3 다윗이 야훼의 궤를 모실 자리를 마련하고는 온 이스라엘을 소집하는 한편, 3 Then David assembled all Israel in Jerusalem to bring the ark of the LORD to the place which he had prepared for it.
4 다윗이 모아들인 아론의 자손과 레위인들은 이러하다. 4 아론의 후손과 레위인을 불러들이니, 4 David also called together the sons of Aaron and the Levites:
5 크핫의 자손으로는 우리엘 수령과 그의 형제 백이십 명, 5 크핫 후손으로는 지휘자 우리엘과 그의 일족 백이십 명, 5 of the sons of Kohath, Uriel, their chief, and one hundred and twenty of his brethren;
6 므라리의 자손으로는 아사야 수령과 그의 형제 이백이십 명, 6 므라리 후손으로는 지휘자 아사이야와 그의 일족 이백이십 명, 6 of the sons of Merari, Asaiah, their chief, and two hundred and twenty of his brethren;
7 게르솜의 자손으로는 요엘 수령과 그의 형제 백삼십 명, 7 게르손 후손으로는 지휘자 요엘과 그의 일족 백삼십 명, 7 of the sons of Gershon, Joel, their chief, and one hundred and thirty of his brethren;
8 엘리차판의 자손으로는 스마야 수령과 그의 형제 이백 명, 8 엘리사반 후손으로는 지휘자 스마야와 그의 일족 이백 명, 8 of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah, their chief, and two hundred of his brethren;
9 헤브론의 자손으로는 엘리엘 수령과 그의 형제 여든 명, 9 헤브론 후손으로는 지휘자 엘리엘과 그의 일족 팔십 명, 9 of the sons of Hebron, Eliel, their chief, and eighty of his brethren;
10 우찌엘의 자손으로는 암미나답 수령과 그의 형제 백십이 명이다. 10 우찌엘 후손으로는 지휘자 암미나답과 그의 일족 백십이 명이다. 10 of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab, their chief, and one hundred and twelve of his brethren.
11 다윗은 차독 사제와 에브야타르 사제, 레위인들인 우리엘, 아사야, 요엘, 스마야, 엘리엘, 암미나답을 불러, 11 다윗은 사제 사독과 에비아달, 레위인 우리엘, 아사이야, 요엘, 스마야, 엘리엘, 암미나답을 불러들여 11 David summoned the priests Zadok and Abiathar, and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab,
12 이렇게 일렀다. “그대들은 레위 가문의 우두머리니, 형제들과 함께 자신을 거룩하게 하고, 주 이스라엘의 하느님의 궤를 내가 마련해 놓은 곳으로 모셔 오시오. 12 이렇게 일렀다. "그대들은 레위 가문의 어른들이니 일족들과 함께 목욕재계를 하고 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼의 궤를 메어다가 내가 마련해 놓은 자리에 모시도록 하오. 12 and said to them: "You, the heads of the levitical families, must sanctify yourselves along with your brethren and bring the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, to the place which I have prepared for it.
13 지난번에는 그대들이 그 궤를 메지 않았기 때문에, 주 우리 하느님께서 우리를 내리치셨소. 우리가 그 궤를 법규대로 다루지 않은 탓이오.” 13 저번에 야훼께서 노여움을 내리신 것은 그대들이 없었기 때문이오. 우리는 격식을 갖추지 않고 야훼 우리 하느님을 모시려다가 그런 일을 당했던 것이오." 13 Because you were not with us the first time, the wrath of the LORD our God burst upon us, for we did not seek him aright."
14 그래서 사제들과 레위인들은 주 이스라엘의 하느님의 궤를 모셔 오려고 자신을 거룩하게 하였다. 14 사제들과 레위인들은 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼의 궤를 모셔 올리려고 목욕재계를 하였다. 14 Accordingly, the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel.
15 레위의 자손들은 주님의 말씀에 따라 모세가 명령한 대로, 하느님의 궤를 채에 꿰어 어깨에 메었다. 15 그리고 하느님의 궤를 멜 레위인들은 모세에게서 받은 야훼의 지시대로 채를 꿰어 궤를 어깨에 메었다. 15 The Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders with poles, as Moses had ordained according to the word of the LORD.
16 다윗은 레위인 수령들에게 일러, 그들 형제 가운데에서 성가 책임자들을 임명하게 하고, 수금과 비파와 자바라 같은 악기를 연주하여 흥겨운 소리를 드높이게 하였다. 16 다윗은 레위인 지휘자들에게 지시를 내려 그들 일족 가운데서 합창대를 내세워 거문고와 수금을 뜯고 바라를 치며 흥겹게 노래를 부르도록 하였다. 16 David commanded the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brethren as chanters, to play on musical instruments, harps, lyres, and cymbals, to make a loud sound of rejoicing.
17 레위인들은 요엘의 아들 헤만과 그의 동기 가운데에서 베레크야의 아들 아삽을 임명하였다. 그리고 그들의 형제들인 므라리의 자손들 가운데에서 쿠사야의 아들 에탄을 임명하였다. 17 레위인들은 요엘의 아들 헤만과 베레기야의 아들 아삽을 내세웠다. 그들은 같은 일족이었다. 또 그들의 일족인 므라리 후손 가운데서 쿠사야의 아들 에단을 내세웠다. 17 Therefore the Levites appointed Heman, son of Joel, and, among his brethren, Asaph, son of Berechiah; and among the sons of Merari, their brethren, Ethan, son of Kushaiah;
18 그들과 더불어, 두 번째 서열에 속한 형제들로서 즈카르야, 벤, 야아지엘, 스미라못, 여히엘, 운니, 엘리압, 브나야, 마아세야, 마티트야, 엘리플레후, 미크네야, 그리고 문지기들인 오벳 에돔과 여이엘이 임명되었다. 18 또 같은 일족으로 즈가리야, 야아지엘, 스미라못, 여히엘, 운니, 엘리압, 브나야, 마아세야, 마띠디야, 엘리블레후, 미크네야 그리고 수위 오베데돔과 여이엘이 그 밑에 있었다. 18 and, together with these, their brethren of the second rank: the gatekeepers Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel.
19 성가 책임자들인 헤만, 아삽, 에탄은 청동 자바라를 치고, 19 성가대 지휘자인 헤만과 아삽과 에단이 바라를 치고 19 The chanters, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, sounded brass cymbals.

21 마티트야, 엘리플레후, 미크네야, 오벳 에돔, 여이엘, 아자즈야는 스미닛에 맞추어 비파를 탔다. 21 마띠디야, 엘리블레후, 미크네야, 오베데돔, 여이엘, 아자지야가 스미닛 르나세아에 맞추어 수금을 뜯었다. 21 But Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel led the chant on lyres set to "the eighth."
22 레위인들의 음악 감독 크난야가 음악을 이끌었다. 그가 음악을 잘 이해하였기 때문이다. 22 노래를 메기는 사람은 레위인들의 지휘자 그나니야였다. 그는 모르는 노래가 없었다. 22 Chenaniah was the chief of the Levites in the chanting; he directed the chanting, for he was skillful.
23 베레크야와 엘카나는 궤를 지키는 문지기였다. 23 궤를 지키는 수위는 베레기야와 엘카나였다. 23 Berechiah and Elkanah were gatekeepers before the ark.
24 사제들 가운데 스반야, 요사팟, 느탄엘, 아마사이, 즈카르야, 브나야, 엘리에제르는 하느님의 궤 앞에서 나팔을 부는 나팔수였다. 오벳 에돔과 여히야도 궤를 지키는 문지기였다. 24 사제들 가운데 스바니야, 요사밧, 느다넬, 아마새, 즈가리야, 브나야, 엘리에젤은 하느님의 궤 앞에서 나팔을 부는 나팔수였다. 오베데돔과 여히야도 궤를 지키는 수위였다. 24 The priests, Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, sounded the trumpets before the ark of God. Obed-edom and Jeiel were also gatekeepers before the ark.
계약 궤를 예루살렘으로 옮기다
25 다윗과 이스라엘의 원로들과 천인대장들이 오벳 에돔의 집에서 주님의 계약 궤를 모셔 오려고, 기뻐하며 그곳으로 갔다. 25 다윗은 이스라엘 장로들과 천인부대 지휘관들을 데리고 오베데돔의 집으로 가서 즐거운 마음으로 야훼의 계약궤를 모셔 올렸다. 25 Thus David, the elders of Israel, and the commanders of thousands went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with joy from the house of Obed-edom.
26 하느님께서 주님의 계약 궤를 멘 레위인들을 도와주셨기 때문에, 그들은 황소 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 제물로 바쳤다. 26 레위인들은 하느님의 도움을 받아 야훼의 계약궤를 옮겨온 다음, 황소 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 잡아 바쳤다. 26 While the Levites, with God's help, were bearing the ark of the covenant of the LORD, seven bulls and seven rams were sacrificed.
27 다윗과 궤를 멘 모든 레위인과 성가 책임자들과 음악 감독 크난야는 아마포 겉옷을 입고 있었다. 다윗은 또 그 위에 아마포 에폿을 걸쳤다. 27 궤를 메는 레위인, 성가대원들, 레위인들의 지휘자로서 노래를 메기는 그나니야와 함께 다윗은 모시 도포를 입고 그 위에 모시 에봇을 걸쳤다. 27 David was clothed in a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who carried the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah, the leader of the chant; David was also wearing a linen ephod.
28 온 이스라엘은 함성을 올리고 뿔 나팔과 나팔을 불며, 자바라를 치고 수금과 비파를 타면서 주님의 계약 궤를 모시고 올라갔다. 28 온 이스라엘은 환성을 올리며 뿔나팔과 새납을 불고 바라를 치고 거문고와 수금을 타면서 야훼의 계약궤를 모시고 올라왔다. 28 Thus all Israel brought back the ark of the covenant of the LORD with joyful shouting, to the sound of horns, trumpets, and cymbals, and the music of harps and lyres.
29 주님의 계약 궤가 다윗 성으로 들어갈 때, 다윗 임금이 껑충껑충 뛰며 춤추는 것을 사울의 딸 미칼이 창문으로 내려다보고, 속으로 그를 비웃었다. 29 야훼의 계약궤가 다윗의 도성에 들어오는데, 사울의 딸 미갈이 창으로 내다보다가 다윗 왕이 춤을 추며 좋아 날뛰는 것을 보고 속으로 비웃었다. 29 But as the ark of the covenant of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal, daughter of Saul, looked down from her window, and when she saw King David leaping and dancing, she despised him in her heart.
