1 아론 자손들의 조는 이러하다. 아론의 아들은 나답, 아비후, 엘아자르, 이타마르이다. 1 아론 후손은 다음과 같이 반을 편성하였다. 아론에게는 나답, 아비후, 엘르아잘, 이다말이라는 아들들이 있었는데, 1 The descendants of Aaron also were divided into classes. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 나답과 아비후는 아들을 남기지 않고 아버지보다 먼저 죽었다. 그래서 엘아자르와 이타마르만 사제가 되었다. 2 나답과 아비후는 자식을 남기지 않고 아버지보다 먼저 죽어 엘르아잘과 이다말만이 사제가 되었다. 2 Nadab and Abihu died before their father, leaving no sons; therefore only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.
3 다윗은 엘아자르의 자손 차독과 이타마르의 자손 아히멜렉과 함께 사제들을 나누어 등록시키고 봉직하게 하였다. 3 다윗은 엘르아잘 후손인 사독과 이다말 후손인 아히멜렉과 함께 사제들을 갈라서 일을 맡기고 등록시켰다. 3 David, with Zadok, a descendant of Eleazar, and Ahimelech, a descendant of Ithamar, assigned the functions for the priestly service.
4 그런데 우두머리가 될 만한 장정들은 이타마르의 자손들보다 엘아자르의 자손들 가운데에 더 많았다. 그래서 엘아자르의 자손들은 열여섯 집안의 우두머리들에 따라, 이타마르의 자손들은 여덟 집안의 우두머리들에 따라 나누었다. 4 그런데 지도자가 될 만한 사람은 이다말 후손보다는 엘르아잘 후손 가운데 더 많았다. 그래서 엘르아잘 후손 가운데서는 수령이 열여섯이 나왔으나 이다말 후손 가운데서는 여덟밖에 나오지 못했다. 4 But since the descendants of Eleazar were found to be more numerous than those of Ithamar, the former were divided into sixteen groups, and the latter into eight groups, each under its family head.
5 엘아자르의 자손들과 이타마르의 자손들 가운데에는 성소의 일을 맡은 지도자들과 하느님의 일을 맡은 지도자들이 있었기 때문에, 제비를 뽑아 그 자손들을 똑같이 나누었다. 5 이렇게 엘르아잘 후손과 이다말 후손 가운데서 하느님을 섬기는 성직자들이 나왔기 때문에, 그들이 각기 할 일을 제비를 뽑아 결정하게 되었다. 5 Their functions were assigned impartially by lot, for there were officers of the holy place, and officers of the divine presence, descended both from Eleazar and from Ithamar.
6 레위인 느탄엘의 아들 스마야 서기관이 임금과 대신들과 차독 사제, 에브야타르의 아들 아히멜렉, 그리고 사제 가문과 레위 가문의 우두머리들 앞에서, 이타마르 자손들의 집안 하나를 뽑을 때마다 엘아자르 자손들의 집안 둘을 뽑아 그들의 이름을 기록하였다. 6 레위인 느다넬의 아들 스마야는 비서실장이었다. 그가 왕과 대신들과 사독 사제와 에비아달의 아들 아히멜렉 사제 가문의 수령들과 레위 가문의 수령들 앞에서 사제들의 이름을 기록하는데, 엘르아잘 가문에서 두 몫, 이다말 가문에서 한 몫을 뽑았다. 6 The scribe Shemaiah, son of Nethanel, a Levite, made a record of it in the presence of the king, and of the leaders, of Zadok the priest, and of Ahimelech, son of Abiathar, and of the heads of the ancestral houses of the priests and of the Levites, listing two successive family groups from Eleazar before each one from Ithamar.
7 첫 번째 제비는 여호야립에게 뽑혔다. 두 번째는 여다야에게, 7 제비를 뽑으니 첫째는 여호야립에게, 둘째는 여다야에게, 7 The first lot fell to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,
8 세 번째는 하림에게, 네 번째는 스오림에게, 8 셋째는 하림에게, 넷째는 스오림에게, 8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
9 다섯 번째는 말키야에게, 여섯 번째는 미야민에게, 9 다섯째는 말기야에게, 여섯째는 미야민에게, 9 the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10 일곱 번째는 코츠에게, 여덟 번째는 아비야에게, 10 일곱째는 하코스에게, 여덟째는 아비야에게, 10 the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
11 아홉 번째는 예수아에게, 열 번째는 스칸야에게, 11 아홉째는 예수아에게, 열째는 스가니야에게, 11 the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12 열한 번째는 엘야십에게, 열두 번째는 야킴에게, 12 열한째는 엘랴십에게, 열두째는 야킴에게, 12 the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
13 열세 번째는 후파에게, 열네 번째는 예세브압에게, 13 열셋째는 후빠에게, 열넷째는 예세브압에게, 13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Ishbaal,
14 열다섯 번째는 빌가에게, 열여섯 번째는 임메르에게, 14 열다섯째는 빌가에게, 열여섯째는 임멜에게, 14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
15 열일곱 번째는 헤지르에게, 열여덟 번째는 피체츠에게, 15 열일곱째는 헤지르에게, 열여덟째는 하삐세스에게, 15 the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 열아홉 번째는 프타흐야에게, 스무 번째는 에제키엘에게, 16 열아홉째는 브다히야에게, 스무째는 에헤즈켈에게, 16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 스물한 번째는 야킨에게, 스물두 번째는 가물에게, 17 스물한째는 야긴에게, 스물두째는 가물에게, 17 the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 스물세 번째는 들라야에게, 스물네 번째는 마아즈야에게 뽑혔다. 18 스물셋째는 들라야에게, 스물넷째는 마아지야에게 떨어졌다. 18 the twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 그들은 이렇게 등록되어, 주님의 집에 들어가 그들의 조상 아론이 주 이스라엘의 하느님께 명령을 받고 세운 법규에 따라 봉직하였다. 19 그들은 이런 차례로 등록되어 야훼의 성전에 들어가 선조 아론이 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼께 지시받은 규례를 따라 예배를 드리게 되었다. 19 This was the appointed order of their service when they functioned in the house of the LORD in keeping with the precepts given them by Aaron, their father, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
나머지 레위인들의 조직 Other Levites
20 나머지 레위의 자손들. 아므람의 자손 수바엘과 수바엘의 자손 예흐드야, 20 나머지 레위 후손은 이러하다. 아므람 후손 수바엘반에 예흐디야, 20 Of the remaining Levites, there were Shubael, of the descendants of Amram, and Jehdeiah, of the descendants of Shubael;
21 르하브야 가문에서 르하브야의 자손 이씨야 우두머리, 21 르하비야반에 수령 이씨야, 21 Isshiah, the chief, of the descendants of Rehabiah;
22 이츠하르 가문에서 슬로못, 슬로못 자손 야핫, 22 이스할파 슬로못반에 야핫, 22 Shelomith of the Izharites, and Jahath of the descendants of Shelomith.
23 헤브론의 자손 여리야, 둘째 아마르야, 셋째 야하지엘, 넷째 여카므암, 23 헤브론파에 수령 여리야, 둘째 아마리야, 셋째 야하지엘, 넷째 여카므암, 23 The descendants of Hebron were Jeriah, the chief, Amariah, the second, Jahaziel, the third, Jekameam, the fourth.
24 우찌엘의 자손 미카, 미카의 자손 사미르, 24 우찌엘파 미가반에 사밀, 24 The descendants of Uzziel were Micah; Shamir, of the descendants of Micah;
25 미카의 아우 이씨야, 이씨야의 자손 즈카르야, 25 미가의 아우 이씨야반에 즈가리야, 25 Isshiah, the brother of Micah; and Zechariah, a descendant of Isshiah.
26 므라리의 자손 마흘리와 무시, 야아지야의 자손 브노, 26 므라리의 후손 마흘리와 무시, 또 그의 아들 야아지야, 26 The descendants of Merari were Mahli, Mushi, and the descendants of his son Uzziah.
27 므라리의 자손으로 야아지야 가문에서 브노, 소함, 자쿠르, 이브리, 27 므라리의 후손 야아지야의 아들 브노, 소함, 자구르, 이브리. 27 The descendants of Merari through his son Uzziah: Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.

29 키스 가문에서 키스의 자손 여라흐므엘, 29 키스파에 여라므엘, 29 and Jerahmeel, of the descendants of Kish.
30 무시의 자손 마흘리, 에데르, 여리못. 이상이 집안별로 본 레위의 자손들이다. 30 무시의 후손 마흘리와 에델과 여리못. 이상이 족보별로 본 레위 후손이다. 30 The descendants of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the descendants of the Levites according to their ancestral houses.
31 이들도 자기 형제들인 아론의 자손들과 마찬가지로 다윗 임금과 차독과 아히멜렉, 사제 가문과 레위 가문의 우두머리들 앞에서 제비를 뽑았다. 가문의 우두머리나 가장 어린 형제나 마찬가지로 제비를 뽑았다. 31 그들도 일족인 아론 후손들과 나란히 다윗 왕, 사독, 아히멜렉, 사제 가문 수령들, 레위 가문 수령들 앞에서 제비를 뽑았다. 종가나 작은 집이나 동등하게 제비를 뽑았다. 31 They too, in the same manner as their relatives, the descendants of Aaron, cast lots in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the priestly and levitical families; the more important family did so in the same way as the less important one.
