1 주님께서 모세와 아론에게 이르셨다. 1 야훼께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하셨다. 1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron:
2 “너는 레위의 자손들 가운데에서 크핫 자손들의 수를 씨족과 집안별로 세어라. 2 "너는 레위 후손들 가운데 크핫 후손들의 인구를 각 갈래와 가문별로 조사하여라. 2 "Among the Levites take a total of the Kohathites, by clans and ancestral houses, all the men of the Kohathites
3 서른 살 이상에서 쉰 살까지, 복무에 들어가 만남의 천막에서 작업을 할 수 있는 남자들의 수를 모두 세어라. 3 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지, 만남의 장막에서 일할 사람으로서 전장에 나갈 만한 사람을 모두 조사하여라. 3 between thirty and fifty years of age; these are to undertake obligatory tasks in the meeting tent.
4 크핫의 자손들이 만남의 천막에서 할 일은 가장 거룩한 것들을 다루는 일이다. 4 크핫 후손들이 만남의 장막에서 맡아볼 일은 더없이 거룩한 것을 보살피는 일이다. 4 "The service of the Kohathites in the meeting tent concerns the most sacred objects.
5 진영을 옮길 때에는 아론과 그의 아들들이 들어와서, 칸막이 휘장을 내려 그것으로 증언 궤를 덮은 다음, 5 진지를 옮길 때마다 아론과 그의 아들들은 안으로 들어가서 칸막이 휘장을 내려 증거궤를 싼 다음, 5 In breaking camp, Aaron and his sons shall go in and take down the screening curtain and cover the ark of the commandments with it.
6 그 위에 돌고래 가죽 덮개를 씌우고, 다시 그 위에 순 자주색 천을 펴고 채를 꿴다. 6 그 위를 돌고래 가죽 덮개를 덮고 또 그 위에다가 자줏빛 천을 펴고 채를 꿰어라. 6 Over these they shall put a cover of tahash skin, and on top of this spread an all-violet cloth. They shall then put the poles in place.
7 제사상 위에는 자주색 천을 펴고, 그 위에 대접, 접시, 잔, 제주 단지들을 놓는다. 늘 차려 놓는 빵도 그 위에 놓아야 한다. 7 제사 상 위에는 자줏빛 천을 펴고 그 위에 대접, 종지, 술잔, 제주 병들을 얹어놓고 떡도 거르지 말고 차려놓아라. 7 On the table of the Presence they shall spread a violet cloth and put on it the plates and cups, as well as the bowls and pitchers for libations; the established bread offering shall remain on the table.
8 그 위에 다홍색 천을 펴고, 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮은 다음 채를 꿴다. 8 그 위에 진홍빛 천을 펴고, 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮은 다음 채를 꿰어라. 8 Over these they shall spread a scarlet cloth and cover all this with tahash skin. They shall then put the poles in place.
9 그러고는 자주색 천을 가져다가, 불을 켜는 등잔대와 그것에 딸린 등잔, 불똥 가위, 불똥 접시, 그리고 등잔대에 쓰는 온갖 기름 그릇을 덮은 다음, 9 또 자줏빛 천으로 불 켜는 등잔대, 등잔, 불집게, 불똥 접시와 거기에 쓰이는 모든 기름 그릇들을 싼 다음, 9 They shall use a violet cloth to cover the lampstand with its lamps, trimming shears, and trays, as well as the various containers of oil from which it is supplied.
10 그 등잔대와 그것에 딸린 모든 기물을 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 싸서 들것 위에 얹는다. 10 그 등잔대와 모든 기구를 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮어서 들것에 얹어라. 10 The lampstand with all its utensils they shall then enclose in a covering of tahash skin, and place on a litter.
11 금 제단 위에는 자주색 천을 펴고, 그것을 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮은 다음 채를 꿴다. 11 그리고 금제단 위에 자줏빛 천을 펴고, 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮은 다음에 채를 꿰어라. 11 Over the golden altar they shall spread a violet cloth, and cover this also with a covering of tahash skin. They shall then put the poles in place.
12 성소에서 예식에 쓰는 그 밖의 모든 기물을 가져다가, 자주색 천으로 싸고 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮어 들것 위에 얹는다. 12 성소에서 예식에 쓰이는 그 밖의 모든 기구를 가져다가 자줏빛 천으로 싸고 돌고래 가죽 덮개를 씌워 들것에 얹어라. 12 Taking the utensils of the sanctuary service, they shall wrap them all in violet cloth and cover them with tahash skin. They shall then place them on a litter.
13 제단은 재를 치우고 나서 그 위에 자홍색 천을 편 다음, 13 제단의 그을음을 닦아내고 그 위에 붉은 천을 펴고 13 After cleansing the altar of its ashes, they shall spread a purple cloth over it.
14 제단에서 쓰는 모든 기물, 곧 불똥 접시, 고기 갈고리, 삽, 쟁반 등 제단의 모든 기물을 얹고, 그 위에 돌고래 가죽 덮개를 편 다음 채를 꿴다. 14 예식에 쓰이는 향로, 집게, 부삽, 쟁반 등 모든 기구와 제단의 모든 기구를 얹고, 돌고래 가죽 덮개로 덮은 다음 채를 꿰어라. 14 On this they shall put all the utensils with which it is served: the fire pans, forks, shovels, basins, and all the utensils of the altar. They shall then spread a covering of tahash skin over this, and put the poles in place.
15 진영을 옮길 때에, 아론과 그의 아들들은 성소와 성소의 모든 기물을 덮는 일을 이런 식으로 마친다. 그런 다음에야 크핫의 자손들이 와서 그것들을 든다. 그들은 거룩한 물건들에 몸이 닿지 않게 해야 한다. 그랬다가는 죽는다. 이것이 만남의 천막에서 크핫의 자손들이 옮겨야 하는 짐이다. 15 진을 옮길 때에는 아론과 그의 아들들이 거룩한 것과 그 거룩한 것에 딸린 모든 기구를 다 싼 다음에 크핫의 후손들이 나아가 그것을 든다. 그러나 그 거룩한 것에 몸이 닿았다가는 죽을 것이다. 이것이 크핫의 후손들이 만남의 장막에서 맡은 일이다. 15 "Only after Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sacred objects and all their utensils on breaking camp, shall the Kohathites enter to carry them. But they shall not touch the sacred objects; if they do they will die. These, then, are the objects in the meeting tent that the Kohathites shall carry.
16 아론 사제의 아들 엘아자르가 맡은 것은 등잔 기름, 향기로운 향, 늘 바치는 곡식 제물, 성별 기름이다. 그는 성막과 그 안에 있는 모든 것, 성소와 거기에 딸린 모든 기물을 맡는다.” 16 불 켜는 기름, 향기 좋은 향, 거르지 않고 드리는 곡식예물, 성별하는 기름은 물론 온 성막과 그 안에 있는 모든 것, 거룩한 것과 거기에 딸린 기구들은 아론 사제의 아들 엘르아잘이 맡는다." 16 "Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, shall be in charge of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the established cereal offering, and the anointing oil. He shall be in charge of the whole Dwelling with all the sacred objects and utensils that are in it."
17 주님께서 모세와 아론에게 이르셨다. 17 야훼께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하셨다. 17 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron:
18 “너희는 크핫의 씨족들로 이루어진 부족이 레위인들 가운데에서 끊어지지 않게 하여라. 18 "너희는 크핫 갈래를 레위인들 가운데서 끊어지지 않게 하여라. 18 "Do not let the group of Kohathite clans perish from the body of the Levites.
19 그들이 가장 거룩한 것들에 가까이 갈 때 죽지 않고 살게 하려면, 너희가 이렇게 해 주어야 한다. 아론과 그의 아들들이 들어와서 한 사람 한 사람에게 일과 짐을 정해 주어야 한다. 19 그들이 가장 거룩한 것에 가까이 갈 때 죽지 않고 살게 하려면 너희가 이렇게 해주어야 한다. 아론과 그의 아들들이 함께 들어가서 그들이 할 일, 그들이 질 짐을 하나하나 정해 주어야 한다. 19 That they may live and not die when they approach the most sacred objects, this is what you shall do for them: Aaron and his sons shall go in and assign to each of them his task and what he must carry;
20 그러나 크핫인들은 들어와서 한순간이라도 거룩한 것을 보아서는 안 된다. 그랬다가는 죽는다.” 20 들어가서 거룩한 것이 눈에 스치기만 해도 그들은 죽을 터이니, 그런 일이 없도록 하여라." 20 but the Kohathites shall not go in to look upon the sacred objects, even for an instant; if they do, they will die."
21 주님께서 모세에게 이르셨다. 21 야훼께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 21 The LORD said to Moses,
22 “게르손의 자손들도 집안과 씨족에 따라 수를 세어라. 22 "너는 게르손 후손도 각 가문과 갈래별로 인구를 조사하여라. 22 "Take a total among the Gershonites also, by ancestral houses and clans,
23 서른 살 이상에서 쉰 살까지, 복무에 들어가 만남의 천막에서 일을 할 수 있는 남자들을 모두 사열하여라. 23 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 사람을 모두 등록시켜 만남의 장막에서 일하게 하여라. 23 of all the men between thirty and fifty years of age; these are to undertake obligatory tasks in the meeting tent.
24 게르손의 씨족들이 할 일과 질 짐은 이러하다. 24 게르손의 각 갈래가 맡아서 할 일과 질 짐은 이렇다. 24 This is the task of the clans of the Gershonites, what they must do and what they must carry:
25 그들이 나를 것은 성막에 치는 천, 만남의 천막과 그 덮개, 그 위에 씌우는 돌고래 가죽 덮개, 만남의 천막 어귀에 치는 막, 25 그들이 질 짐은 성막에 치는 천, 만남의 장막과 그 덮개, 그 위에 씌울 돌고래 가죽 덮개, 만남의 장막 문 휘장, 25 they shall carry the sheets of the Dwelling, the meeting tent with its covering and the outer wrapping of tahash skin, the curtain at the entrance of the meeting tent,
26 뜰의 휘장, 성막과 제단을 둘러싼 뜰의 정문 어귀에 치는 막, 거기에 딸린 줄과 그들이 일하는 데에 필요한 모든 기물이다. 그들은 이것들과 관련된 모든 일도 해야 한다. 26 울 휘장, 성막과 제단을 둘러싼 울의 문에 칠 천막 줄, 그들이 일하는 데 필요한 모든 기구, 그리고 이런 것을 다루는 데 필요한 모든 것이다. 이들을 운반하는 것이 그들의 할 일이다. 26 the hangings of the court, the curtain at the entrance of the court that encloses both the Dwelling and the altar, together with their ropes and all other objects necessary in their use. Whatever is to be done with these things shall be their task.
27 게르손의 자손들은 어떤 짐을 나르든 어떤 일을 하든, 모든 일에서 아론과 그의 아들들의 분부를 따라야 한다. 그러므로 너희는 그들이 질 모든 짐을 그들의 임무로 지정해 주어야 한다. 27 게르손의 후손은 이런 일을 할 때, 어떤 짐을 지거나 어떤 일을 하거나 아론과 그 아들들의 말을 따라야 한다. 너는 그들이 운반하는 일을 제대로 하는지 감독해야 한다. 27 The service of the Gershonites shall be entirely under the direction of Aaron and his sons, with regard to what they must do and what they must carry; you shall make each man of them responsible for what he is to carry.
28 이것이 게르손의 씨족들이 만남의 천막에서 할 일이다. 그들은 아론 사제의 아들 이타마르의 지휘 아래 자기들의 임무를 수행해야 한다. 28 이것이 게르손 후손의 각 갈래가 만남의 장막에서 맡은 일이다. 그들은 이런 일을 아론 사제의 아들 이다말의 지휘 아래 해야 한다. 28 This, then, is the task of the Gershonites in the meeting tent; and they shall be under the supervision of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.
29 너는 므라리의 자손들도 씨족과 집안별로 사열하여라. 29 너는 므라리 후손을 각 갈래와 가문별로 그 인구를 조사하여라. 29 "Among the Merarites, too, you shall enroll by clans and ancestral houses
30 서른 살 이상에서 쉰 살까지, 복무에 들어가 만남의 천막에서 일할 수 있는 남자들을 모두 사열하여라. 30 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 사람을 모두 등록시켜 만남의 장막에서 일하게 하여라. 30 all their men between thirty and fifty years of age; these are to undertake obligatory tasks in the meeting tent.
31 그들이 만남의 천막에서 할 모든 일은 이러한 것들을 맡아서 옮기는 것이다. 곧 성막의 널빤지, 가로다지, 기둥, 밑받침, 31 그들이 만남의 장막에서 할 모든 일은 다음과 같은 것을 맡아서 운반하는 일이다. 그것은 성막 널빤지, 가로다지, 기둥, 밑받침, 31 This is what they shall be responsible for carrying, all the years of their service in the meeting tent: the boards of the Dwelling with its bars, columns and pedestals,

You shall designate for each man of them all the objects connected with his service, which he shall be responsible for carrying.
33 이것이 므라리의 씨족들이 아론 사제의 아들 이타마르의 지휘 아래, 만남의 천막에서 해야 할 모든 일이다.” 33 이것이 므라리 후손 각 갈래가 만남의 장막에서 맡아 할 모든 일이다. 그들은 이 일을 아론 사제의 아들 이다말의 지휘 아래 해야 한다." 33 This, then, is the task of the clans of the Merarites during all their service in the meeting tent under the supervision of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest."
레위인 장정들의 인구 조사 Number of Adult Levites
34 모세와 아론과 공동체의 수장들은 크핫의 자손들을 씨족과 집안별로 사열하였다. 34 모세와 아론은 회중의 대표들을 거느리고 크핫 후손을 그 갈래와 가문별로 등록시켰다. 34 So Moses and Aaron and the princes of the community made a registration among the Kohathites, by clans and ancestral houses,
35 서른 살 이상에서 쉰 살까지, 복무에 들어가 만남의 천막에서 일할 수 있는 남자들을 모두 사열하였다. 35 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 사람을 모두 등록시켜 만남의 장막에서 일하게 하였다. 35 of all the men between thirty and fifty years of age. These were to undertake obligatory tasks in the meeting tent;
36 이렇게 씨족별로 사열을 받은 이들은 이천칠백오십 명이었다. 36 그들을 갈래별로 등록시키고 보니 모두 이천칠백오십 명이었다. 36 as registered by clans, they numbered two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37 이들이 모두 만남의 천막에서 일할 사람으로, 크핫의 씨족들에서 사열을 받은 이들이다. 모세와 아론은 주님께서 모세를 통하여 내리신 분부에 따라 그들을 사열하였다. 37 이들이 모두 만남의 장막에서 봉사할 사람으로 크핫 각 갈래에서 등록된 사람들이다. 모세와 아론은 야훼께서 모세를 시켜 말씀하신 대로 이렇게 그들을 등록시켰다. 37 Such was the census of all the men of the Kohathite clans who were to serve in the meeting tent, which Moses took, together with Aaron, as the LORD bade him.
38 게르손의 자손들 가운데에서 씨족과 집안별로 사열을 받은 이들은, 38 게르손의 후손들로서 38 The registration was then made among the Gershonites, by clans and ancestral houses,
39 곧 서른 살 이상에서 쉰 살까지, 복무에 들어가 만남의 천막에서 일할 수 있는 모든 남자로 39 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 사람은 그 갈래와 가문별로 모두 등록시켜 만남의 장막에서 일하게 하였다. 39 of all the men between thirty and fifty years of age. These were to undertake obligatory tasks in the meeting tent;
40 이렇게 씨족과 집안별로 사열을 받은 이들은 이천육백삼십 명이었다. 40 이렇게 각 갈래와 가문별로 등록된 사람은 이천육백삼십 명이었다. 40 as registered by clans and ancestral houses, they numbered two thousand six hundred and thirty.
41 이들이 모두 만남의 천막에서 일할 사람으로, 게르손 자손들의 씨족들에서 사열을 받은 이들이다. 모세와 아론은 주님의 분부에 따라 그들을 사열하였다. 41 이들은 모두 게르손 후손의 갈래들로서 만남의 장막에서 일을 맡아 보게 되었다. 모세와 아론은 야훼의 말씀에 따라 그들을 등록시켰다. 41 Such was the census of all the men of the Gershonite clans who were to serve in the meeting tent, which Moses took, together with Aaron, at the LORD'S bidding.
42 므라리 자손들의 씨족들 가운데에서 씨족과 집안별로 사열을 받은 이들은, 42 므라리 후손의 갈래로서 42 Then the registration was made among the Merarites, by clans and ancestral houses,
43 곧 서른 살 이상에서 쉰 살까지, 복무에 들어가 만남의 천막에서 일할 수 있는 모든 남자로 43 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 군대에 나갈 수 있는 사람은 각 갈래와 가문별로 모두 등록시켜 만남의 장막에서 일하게 하였다. 43 of all the men from thirty up to fifty years of age. These were to undertake obligatory tasks in the meeting tent;
44 이렇게 씨족별로 사열을 받은 이들은 삼천이백 명이었다. 44 이렇게 각 갈래별로 등록된 수가 삼천이백 명이었다. 44 as registered by clans, they numbered three thousand two hundred.
45 이들이 므라리 자손들의 씨족들에서 사열을 받은 이들이다. 모세와 아론은 주님께서 모세를 통하여 내리신 분부에 따라 그들을 사열하였다. 45 므라리 후손의 갈래에서 등록된 자는 위와 같다. 모세와 아론은 야훼께서 모세를 시켜 말씀하신 대로 그들을 등록시켰다. 45 Such was the census of the men of the Merarite clans which Moses took, together with Aaron, as the LORD bade him.
46 모세와 아론과 이스라엘의 수장들은 레위인들을 씨족과 집안별로 사열하였는데, 이때에 사열을 받은 이들은 모두, 46 모세와 아론은 이스라엘의 대표들을 거느리고 레위인들을 그 각 갈래와 가문별로 모두 등록시켰는데, 그 등록된 사람은 46 Therefore, when Moses and Aaron and the Israelites princes had completed the registration among the Levites, by clans and ancestral houses,
47 곧 서른 살 이상에서 쉰 살까지, 복무에 들어가 만남의 천막에서 일을 하고 짐 나르는 일을 할 수 있는 모든 남자로 47 서른 살에서 쉰 살까지 봉사와 직책을 감당하러 나갈 수 있는 사람으로서 만남의 장막에서 짐을 운반할 사람들이었다. 47 of all the men between thirty and fifty years of age who were to undertake tasks of service or transport of the meeting tent,
48 이렇게 사열을 받은 이들은 팔천오백팔십 명이었다. 48 이렇게 등록된 사람이 팔천오백팔십 명이었다. 48 the total number registered was eight thousand five hundred and eighty.
49 주님께서 모세를 통하여 내리신 분부에 따라 사람마다 일과 짐을 맡았다. 그들은 이렇게 주님께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 사열을 받은 것이다. 49 그들은 야훼께서 모세를 시켜 말씀하신 대로 그들 각자에게 할 일과 운반할 짐을 맡겼다. 이렇게 모세는 야훼께서 지시하신 대로 그들을 등록시켰다. 49 According to the LORD'S bidding to Moses, they gave them their individual assignments for service and for transport; so the LORD had commanded Moses.
